Love's Unwritten Contract

I stirred in my sleep; I reached behind me to find my phone, where it had been, for she had fallen asleep. The screen lit up, and the bright numbers showed it was only 4:00 in the morning. I groaned, closing my eyes as I dropped the phone and curled back up to the pillow I had been clinging to. I shifted, nuzzling my face into the warm, earthy, and with a hint of leather and musk.

I swung my leg over the pillow, humming softly in my sleep before passing out once again. A few hours had passed, and the door could be heard creaking open, followed by a soft mumble, "Now, now Oakley grandma and grandpa are up. Let mommy and daddy sleep fo-..." the muttering disappeared once the door closed again; I shifted slightly only to feel something holding my waist in the one spot I had fallen asleep in last. I tried growing comfortable again as I closed my eyes fully, trying to enjoy the fact I could sleep in today, the warm breath that would tickle the back of my neck ever so softly. I groaned as the thing behind me groaned back as it shifted, pulling me closer. I went to scream, unsure what and or who was behind me. A hand flew to my mouth as soon as I breathed. " go back to sleep. It's just me, sunshine... and you told me you moved a lot. You weren't wrong there, princess, I found it quite difficult to sleep with you curled up into my side with your leg swung over me." Dominic's voice was low, still filled with every bit of drowsiness that could be heard. " now you are going to be good and not scream. Am I understood." I nodded as his hand lowered from my mouth and let out a soft breath, staring ahead at the wall that would conceal where I had placed my clothes. Dominic had cleared the closet out bare so I could have my stuff in there, even if it were just for one night. " princess close your eyes and fall asleep again take the time and sleep while you can," Dominic's voice rang softly in my ear before his face would fall between where my neck and my shoulders met as his breathing slowed, as he held me closer. My eyes grew heavy hearing his voice, once again so soothing to the point where I fell asleep in the hands of Dominic once again.

I woke up to someone slowly rubbing my arm. "Princess, come on time to get up; it's almost noon... You're slowly worrying me." Dominic's voice came into play. I turned slightly, seeing myself tucking into his chest. " I dont want to im comfortable," I whined, still asleep. I wasn't fully aware of my surroundings. " I know princess I know but come, lets go up we get mom and dad want to say bye before they leave." his voice was light as I groaned again, sitting up, crossing my arms, rolling my eyes at the short that I had been wear slowly riding up to Reveal my lower abdomen along with a few scars that I had inflicted on myself after my mishap in the basement when I was fourteen, I pulled the shirt down before anything could be said, I got up out of the bed being able to feel Dominic's eye slowly following me as I made my way around the room with a change of clothes to the bathroom. " I'll make you some coffee, princess. Come downstairs when you changed, please. If I catch you in bed again, I will toss you over my shoulder if I have to."

I rolled my eyes, hearing him from the bathroom. I got dressed in a snug black dress that didn't show any of my assets—tying my hair up with two loose strands that would hang just in front. I finished getting ready, and the fresh smell of coffee crept under the door. I quickly headed downstairs to be greeted by Oakley. " mama!" he giggled. I smiled, picked him up, and ran into the dining room; Dominic came up behind me, setting the fresh coffee on the table and taking Oakley from me. " come buddy, let mama have her coffee," Dominic chuckled, heading out of the dining room leaving me to my coffee. The fresh, warm mug filled the room with its smell of dark richness. I picked up the mug slowly, sipping away, not caring what could happen today. " I slept in and wasn't bothered, and I was now with my coffee," I would ramble to myself, my eyes shuttering close as I took a proper sip. I placed the mug down when Dominic came rushing in again, with Oakley giggling, " you need to go upstairs now. No questions, no-" Dominic came, placing Oakley down as he cupped my face slightly. " come on, where is the lady-man? You have hidden her for four years now!" A male voice came echoing down the hall, interrupting him. " come on baby bro you cant gate keep her forever," the female voice filled with a sot of haunting tone that you could hear from the women in horror movies. " who is that-" my eyes widen. Oakley jumped up and down on the spot he was in before exiting the door."There is my man!!" a voice called out, and Oakley's giggles could be heard down the hall as whoever the guest was and why they were there.
