It's been a few months since the Cullens left Forks. Bella doesn't talk or want to see anyone. She fell into a deep depression. I sit outside looking at the roses that were finally dying. I sigh as I cut off the dead flowers, throwing the wilted flowers behind me. Looking at a single rose that was in full bloom, I walk over to it and a sour smile takes place on my lips. Turning away from the rose, I go back to Bella's house to check up on her.
"Morning Charlie. Is she any better?" I ask as he lets me in. Charlie shakes his head, I could tell he also didn't know what to do for his daughter. I try to give him an encouraging smile before walking up to her room. I knock before entering. "Hey Bella..."
Bella looks at me before turning away, my smile falters. I sigh as I sit on her bed. "One of the roses are in bloom." I say, just talking to her, not expecting her to say anything back. I look over and notice her dull eyes are looking at me. I turn my body to face her as I cross my legs.
Bella sits up and looks at me. "He took everything... saying that it would be like they never existed..." My chest tightens as I look at the bags under Bella's eyes. Like they never existed... "But... I need to know he did." Bella continues. I'm at a loss on what to do and what to say. "Does it hurt you?"
The question threw me off as I looked up at her. I sigh as I run my hand through my hair. "I wish I could say it didn't but it feels like a sense of betrayal..." my words falter a little until I'm met with complete silence once again.
After I returned home from the Swan resident, I stopped when I smelled a scent I thought had left behind in my past. Looking down I see the rose that was still in full bloom, now destroyed at my door entrance and the door cracked open. My stomach sank as I stepped in and gasped. Everything I had was smashed or torn to pieces.
"Why... Why did you do this..." I seethed as I turned around and saw Victoria drop from the ceiling to the doorway.
"Isn't it obvious? The Cullens left you behind because you're a freak. I will gladly let you come back if you help me get the Swan girl-" I cut her off as I let out a hiss and tackle her out of the cabin.
I throw Victoria against a tree but she quickly stands back up. "Don't go anywhere near her!" I growl before racing towards her. Victoria smirks before grabbing my arm and hair before throwing me towards the roses, my body destroying the flowers. Once I stand up I notice Victoria is running away. I hiss before looking down at the ruined roses. Why does the past always haunt me?
