[Jisoo's POV]
He kept staring at me... or rather at my belly. He made it a daily routine to just stare at it whenever he had the opportunity. To be honest, I couldn't even stop him if I wanted to. It was just so adorable. I couldn't help but look at him endearingly.
"Are you gonna stare forever? It's not gonna make it speed up the process any faster, oppa." I jokingly said.
He looked up at me with those smiling puppy dog eyes of his. "I know that, jagiya! But I really can't help myself!" Placing his head to her stomach. "Ever since you gave me the biggest surprise of my life 3 months ago on my birthday, I'm just anxiously waiting for it now." I just giggled at him and stroked his hair.

[Flashback to 3 Months Prior]
Nervous, anxious, worried, maybe a bit curious. You name it. All these feelings wrapped in one was one way to describe how Jisoo was feeling at the moment. She was late... very late.
She thought it normal at first since she was prone to being a couple days off. Her lifestyle and line of work was hectic, so this wasn't something unusual since her trainee days. However, she was two weeks late to be exact.
If that wasn't enough, the realization made her notice other symptoms she had been facing lately. The fatigue, the constant hunger, the random nausea, and even her skin being drier despite all the face masks she uses.
Her panic state didn't go unnoticed. Today was her usual date with Jiyeon. Just the two of them enjoying a day shopping and eating out. That was until Jiyeon saw how Jisoo had ordered more than 5 people's worth of food during lunch. Then, suddenly ran to the bathroom after finishing said food because she felt nauseous. Now seeing her friend come out from the bathroom in a crestfallen state just screamed something was wrong.
"So... are you gonna tell me what that was all about?" Jiyeon asked curiously. "You ordered a meal for a sumo wrestler, ate it all with such gusto, ran off, and now you look like the world is ending."
"I'm late." Jisoo stated as she plopped back down in her seat.
".... Late as in late for an appointment?" Jiyeon questioned.
"No..." Jisoo nervously nibbled on her bottom lip. "Late as in my period hasn't come in two weeks kind of late." She sighed, looking down.
A good 10 seconds of silence went by between the two.
"Ohhhh." was all that came out of Jiyeon's mouth. "Uhh ... I guess I have to congratulate you, right? This is good news, isn't it?" Jiyeon was too confused on what to even say at this point.
Jisoo slowly looked up, meeting Jiyeon's eyes.
"I ... I don't know." Jisoo wasn't sure how to feel about this. "It's just so sudden, you know?"
Jiyeon's eyes softened at her friend. Jisoo was clearly feeling confused at this very moment. It was something that Jisoo herself never shows, being vulnerable in front of others.
Jisoo looked to her side, staring outside the window. It was raining in the midst of spring. The cherry blossoms were bound to bloom soon. She knew it. It was going to be the 1st of April soon, his birthday.
"I'm not making assumptions when I ask if Haein-ssi is the father, right?" Jiyeon was more than sure of the answer, but she wanted her friend to ease into it.
