Brianna's Pov

Even though I could rely on the vocal coach, I've mostly just been relying on my raw talent for now. I really wanted to make it look like I knew what I was doing. As soon as I got home, I took a quick trip outside to my favorite convenience store, which I can always rely on! They have everything! Food, clothes, snacks, anything! Even...usb drives to download songs into?0w0

You know where I'm going 😏

Once I purchased my hard drives, I went home and downloaded Fancy into my tape, along with a few of their other songs just for the fun of it!

Fancy unfortunately didn't have an English version to it so I looked up a cover for it along with a song breakdown too. While having a lot of Marvel references, it's about the passionate feelings you get when it comes to love. How I wonder how that would feel like...anyways, I also looked at a few vocal coach's reactions to the song to hear what they had to say. They often commented on how they're such a 'soprano' or something like that but I didn't know my singing type so I fast forwarded through that. However I did make a mental note to my teacher about how to find that.

After four reactions, 8 covers (including English and Korean), and 2 breakdowns, I was ready to try again and I lasted the whole song until the part where I had to hold the high note. I was able to sing it, but just when I was about to hold it, I landed in a coughing fit.

I wanted to try again, but my throat hurt so much that I decided it was time for some tea. I tried again but I couldn't stop coughing.

I didn't want to accept the truth that my voice has been strained, so I just decided to go to sleep for the night after one more cup of honey tea.

Saturday

The next morning I woke up with my voice feeling better but still scratchy-ish. I wanted to give my voice time to heal so I refrained from speaking the whole day.

Luckily, I wasn't supposed to meet with anyone today so I decided to stay in and watch some films, since it's been a little while since I had a lazy day!;)

After scrolling through many films, I stumbled onto a show of girls in a pageant. "Toddlers and Tiaras" I think it was called?

Anyways I tried to watch it, but I couldn't stand watching the poor kids objectify themselves and get pressured from the parents. It brings back too many memories.

Even though the show was trash, I decided to watch some pageant shows to get a good idea of what it'll be like. I noticed it was a lot of questionnaires and this weird part where you're supposed to wear your swimsuits to show off your body eww!!!

The director didn't mention that though so I hope it'll be skipped. Good riddance too.

And then it hit me like a lightbulb duh! I'll just watch all the other pageant from previous years...which I didn't record so to the phone to Google YouTube it is!

I got out a spare piece of paper and jotted down what happened. It was basically everything we knew from before.

They'll open up with who you are. A questionnaire, then a talent section (what were rehearsing for!), evening wear, and then a Q&A (How scary!)

Even though Fancy has me struggling, I think the hardest part for me would definitely be the Q&A. I don't do well under pressure 😿

I recorded some of the questions asked from the videos and prepared my answers. Thankfully a lot easier than expected, I guess the light makes it scarier for some folks!

I also got to enjoy all the pretty dresses! They were so gorgeous! I can't believe I'll look like that in a few months! But for now, I'll have to wait and be patient, bye!
