you were much older than me,
a man at its peak of his life,
while i was still figuring my life out.
you were ready,
i was not.

you were my knight in shining armor,
caught the bullets with me,
staying by my side in my downfall,
you were perfect for me,
but i was still naively young.

you tried to reach the stars for me,
with your dandelion motorcycle,
i couldn't understand why you would do that for me,
staying by my side,
covered in gravel and grey hoodies.

you were the light i couldn't touch,
'coz i was too wrapped in my sadness,
you were my guiding direction,
but our red strings were too far away,
it snapped, we are no more.
