What is the goal here !?

A Problem . . [ Chapter two ]

Ok so , my headcanon is that both Hailey and Jake have AuDHD ( Oreo is Jakes emotional support animal that his mom got him to help deal with his depression and anxiety lol ) ,  so they go non - verbal from time to time , so they learned sign language to communicate during these times , or whenever they want secretly . Also , I headcanon Zander autistic aswell so he knows sign too . :D

{ JAKES POV }

“ Don't worry . Stay still and don't move , ok baby ? “
. . .

Baby !? Ok ok ok , what the fuck !?

Don't get me wrong , I loved that he called me that and I have always liked him , but I thought he hated me ! I thought they all did ! So why . .

I was AGAIN snapped out of my thoughts by feeling something against my neck . . Wait . . MY NECK !?

I look to my left side and to only see Drew snuggled into my neck , rubbing circles on my stomach , mumbling ‘ I love you . ‘ and ‘ Don't leave . ‘ over and over again . It's kind of making me feel bad . . like I want to stay . .

“ Don't even . Let Jake go . “ Hailey says , looking at Henry . Drew glares at her while Liam yells , “ Nope . As my boyfriend said , OUR Jake isn't going anywhere . “

Ours !? As in , theirs !? As in , WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON !?

I'm so confused . . First , they come and sit down next to me , then , when I try to get up and leave , I'm yanked down . Then Drew , for Satan's sake , is saying he loves me and doesn't want me to leave , and now they're calling me theirs !?

“ What the hell is going on ? “ Everyone at the table stopped what they were doing and looked at me . It felt like all eyes were on me and I couldn't move . .  “ Don't worry about it , Jakie ! “ Zoey says .

. . .JAKIE ? What the actual fuck . . What is going on ?

{ THIRD PERSONS POV }

Jake , at this point , decided he wasn't even going to try to process anything that was happening around him , and he was just going to go with it . ( Honestly , I would do the same . . )

Hailey looks at Jake and signs : Jake , will you be ok if I leave you here ? They won't let you go . :

: yea , I'll be fine , don't worry ! : He signs back with a smile .

The Jomies were all looking at them , confused and surprised . They knew it was sign language , but they didn't know that Hailey knew , let alone Jake . Or their Jake as they like to call him . It was unexpected and a little weird to them .

Hailey hesitantly put Jake's food tray down on the table , waved goodbye to her best friend , and walked off out the cafeteria , to the music room .

Now , Jake hoped that Drew would now let go of him so he could eat , uncomfortably , might I add , with the table staring him down .

But he didn't . All he did was whisper , " You can eat now . " ( Talk about controlling 🧍‍♀️💀 . )

Jake dragged his food tray towards himself , and picks up the fork . He hovers the fork over his food , looking at everyone in the cafeteria , they all had their heads in their own conversations , or eating alone , no one glacing or staring . It seems that none in the area had noticed the situation our poor Jake was in . So no one could help , nor save him , sadly .

He , then , looked at the people that were keeping him in this situation . Their looks were almost threatening to him and he felt the need to throw up .

Taking him out of his trance , Drew snuggles back into Jake's neck and grabs his free hand , his own little way of subconsciously calming his future boyfriend down from a close panic attack .

He started eating .

Suddenly , everyone then started eating aswell as resuming the conversations that were started when this . . situation started . It was like they were waiting for him to start eating to continue with normal behaviors .

Weirdly enough , Jake felt calm . Like this was normal . . ? But , it wasn't . This is the first time anything like this ever happened . Even when they were friends , they wouldn't do this , so what the hell is wrong with them ? Were they poisoned ? Or dared ?

No . If they were poisoned , they would be dead . If they were dared , they would have stopped by now .

But they didn't .

The worst part is , they weren't giving him any answers ! They were acting like this was normal , and it irritated him so much . He wanted answers , but it looked like he wasn't getting those anytime soon , sadly . All he had to do was wait for the bell to ring , then he can go to class and get out of . . whatever this is .

All he had to do is wait . .

" Why are y'all acting like this ? "

. . .

He had to say something . He couldn't just stay silent and let it happen ! He needed answers , and he didn't care how he was going to get them .

The table drew silent , and looked at each other , like they were telepathically finding a valid reason for everything together .

Drew was the first to speak . ( He literally prepared for this moment , for all his life . ) " Well . We couldn't just sit there and those freaks mind - wash you , now could we ? Plus , the table would feel empty without you , so . . "

You have got to be kidding me . That was their reason ? Are being they serious right now ?

Right as Jake was about to speak , the bell he had been waiting for , rang , signaling the end of the lunch period .

Everyone at the table stood up , grabbed their lunch trays , and threw them out into the trash cans .

Jake started doing the same , but as he was picking up his tray , Lia , from out of nowhere , picked it up and threw it in the trash for him , she then smiled at him .

' Oh my god , what the actual fuck is going on . . ? ' was the only thought running through Jake's little brain at the time .

They walked off , as Drew turned back , ( like in those shows where the main character turns to you and says like - ' I wish you luck on your next adventure . ' or some shit , lol ) and says " Your sitting with us next period . " and GRABS HIM BY THE WRIST AND PULLS HIM OUT THE CAFETERIA AND TO THEIR NEXT PERIOD .

This is gonna fun . . yipe . . !
