Offered to the lycan Kings

Chapter 10

Elena's day began with her waking alone in the kings chambers. She attended to her duties, ensuring the room was immaculate. As she left the chamber she made her way to the throne room she hesitated before the throne room door unsure of the king's mood for the day she defiantly didn't want to die just because she knocked on the door.

Summoning her courage she approached the door and acknowledged the guards with a look and a nod. They in turn opened the door for her With her head bowed in submission and her neck bear Elena entered the throne room and knelt before the Lycan Kings awaiting their commands Elena's hands shook as she peered up at the Lycan Kings not knowing what their expression will be. their expressions as mysterious as ever was steel face, "come", as they summoned her forward They handed her a sealed letter with orders to deliver it to the north border, " make sure this letter gets to the head of the northern border",. She whispered shyly that she didn't know where the border was located" " but, but, I don't know where that is my kings?", to which the kings assured her that someone would guide her, " Lulie come".

Elena felt a momentary relief until her thoughts turned to the possibility of being guided by a guard fearing a repeat of the events from the previous day. However to her relief another female servant entered with her head bowed and tattered clothes and the king instructed her to be Elena's guide to the border, " Lulie you and Elena will head to the northern border you will be her guide if anything happens to that letter", both kings growled out.

Both Elena and the other servant were warned about the importance of the letter's delivery, with the consequences of never returning if failed to deliver that letter With heads bowed, Elena and the other servant left the presence of the Lycan Kings, their orders clear and their mission daunting. They were tasked with delivering the sealed letter to the north border, fully aware of the importance and the consequences of their missionThe streets of the Lycan Kings' realm were a harsh and unforgiving place, where people, including fellow slaves, went about their daily duties with an air of indifference as if Elena and her companion were invisible. It was a world where survival often meant turning a blind eye to the suffering of others.

As they walked, Elena couldn't help but witness a brutal scene unfolding before them – a servant being dragged by a burly Lycan man, her screams echoing through the streets. The man's callousness and cruelty were stark reminders of the brutal reality of this world, where power and violence reigned supreme, and mercy was a rare commodity. The silence between Elena and the female servant persisted as they walked through the harsh and unforgiving streets. Elena attempted to strike up a conversation, but her companion continued to ignore her completely.

As Elena stepped forward clutching the sealed letter in her trembling hand a series of growls echoed from the forested area nearby. She froze in place her heart racing fast as she looked around for the noise  servant girl Lulie by her side shared the same fear as she glance round also. Even the guards who had been questioning them were taken aback as multiple wolf-like creatures emerged from the tree line with saliva dripping from their snouts as they showed their huge fangs The guards shaken from their initial surprise and fear swiftly rallied into action. They shouted orders their transformation into their lycan forms underway as bone's began to break and reform and fur began to sprout from their bodies. With heightened senses and instincts they prepared to face the emerging threat ready to defend themselves and those under their charge.

In the midst of this chaotic and perilous situation Elena and the servant girl  Lulie could only watch in trepidation snarling and growling could be heard as the guard's battle with the unknown wolves Elena and the servant girl tried to hide from the battle that was being fought right in front of them they made their way behind a building Elena could see guards being ripped apart their blood splattering all over the ground it brought back memories of the guard slit throat and his blood pouring all over her as she stared in horror at the scene before her Elena could see the other wolves taking hits as well as one lycan guard split a wolf in half Elena tense as she heard a growl coming from behind her she turned around slowly as she  see two massive gray wolves stalking towards her they prepared to lunge at her but before they could tackle her the servant girl rushed in front of her placing herself in front of her elena watched in horror as the two wolves pinned her to the ground and began to brutally maul her as they began to tear into her body Elena stood there, shocked,horrified, surprised that the servant girl sacrificed herself for her as her screams could be heard Elena began to take off from the scene Occasionally she looked behind her to see if she was being followed but to her relief she wasn't so far as she kept on running  suddenly she heard growling as she looked behind her and saw a black wolf chasing her Elena was scared as she picked up the pace trying to outrun the wolf she held on to the kings letter for dear life something she forgot to give the guard but was distracted by the growl from the wolves as she ran and duck over branches  she could see the town close by she was relieved until she felt a sharp pain at her heal when she glanced down the black wolf had latched itself onto the heal of her foot and began to drag her back into the woods pulling at her legs with such brutal force Elena screamed out as she fell and began to kick at the wolf hoping to dislodge his hold on her leg but to her shock he bite down harder and Elena screamed out in pain with one final effort Elena grabbed a stick from close by and jabbed it into the wolf's eyes soliciting a yelp from the wolf as he release his hold on her leg at that moment Elena got up and took the opportunity to limp away from the wolf when she made it to town she took a relieved breath as she hobble back to the castle she knew there would be punishment for bringing back the letter but at that moment she didn't care she was alive but she couldn't help but feel sad at the outcome of Lulie the servant who sacrificed herself for her.
