Morning of the garden party

It was the next morning. The morning of the garden party. i couldn't explain how i felt i had lots of feelings that day. It was about 12.00pm and my mum came into my room.
"good morning hunny, how are you feeling for later on" she asked
"i feel excited, nervous, scared a lot of emotions" i said laughing
"But mum i don't have anything to wear and i want to make an impression" i said
"that's fine because we are going shopping for outfits at 1.00 so you better start getting ready" she said smiling. I grabbed my phone offcharge and scrolled on TikTok for half an hour. Until i started getting ready to leave and go find my outfit for today then my mum shouted up saying we had to leave. I ran downstairs and grabbed a fruit pack and a bottle of water then made my way out to the car where i was sat in the front and my sister in the back. My dad stayed back to finish off some of his work. We then arrived at the shop where we were going to be picking our outfits.

this is what my mum chose to wear me and her both had to wear something smart and elegant as that was what the dress code is

Sophia wanted to wear something that charlotte would wear because she is a big fan of her outfits so she picked this outfit out

James's  pov:
Today was the day of my uncles garden party with the whole family and close friends. I was a excited about going because it felt like ages the whole family had gotten together for something like this. My farther was telling me, my mum and sister about when he went shooting he saw a friend who him and my cousin William used to be good friends with and they invited them to come tonight all i knew about them is that they had 2 daughters one called Lunar and the other called Sophia all i knew is that Sophia was younger than Lunar. I had no clue what any of them looked like but all we got told was to be polite to them which we would've either way because we aren't horrible people. The time was 4.00pm and the party started at 5.30pm so i had to start getting ready. I grabbed my suit out of the wardrobe because that's what i have to wear.

This is the one i chose to wear it was navy blue with one of my favourite ties on. I laid it out on my bed while my sister walked into my room
"hey james are u getting ready for tonight yet" she asked
"yes louise don't worry" i said back
"okay good oh and also did dad tell u the ages of Lunar and Sophia" she said
"No he didn't how old are they" i asked her
"Well Lunar is 15 and Sophia is 8 years old so charlottes age" she said staring at me
"okay, well can u get out now so i can get ready"
"yes, yes whatever"
As she walked out my room i started walking to my en-suite bathroom to get into the shower. I didn't really care about Lunar and Sophia coming because i knew i probably wouldn't talk to either of them. I got into the shower and done everything i needed to do than got out. I messaged my mates telling them about what i had going on tonight and about Lunar and saying how she was my age. They told me not to get my hopes up to high because she could be ugly and i also may or may not of already been in a situation-ship with this girl i thought i liked but i really didn't now i'm stuck. But i didn't want to think of that right now.
