EPILOGUE

Jungkook rushes into the apartment and straight into the kitchen at the smell of smoke and the sound of the fire alarm ringing throughout the small apartment.

He runs to open all the windows in the main room while whisking a tea towel around, trying to wave it at the deafening, non-stop shrill. The cause of all the chaos is hiding in a ball in the corner of the kitchen, cute, bright pink oven gloves in his hands which sit on his ears.

Despite the obvious distress on his face, Taehyung is looking positively adorable with a silly little ponytail sprout of blonde hair shaking on top of his head where he cowers, his slender back curving into the corner, all long legs in his little shorts and a t-shirt.

Something is burning in the oven, wisps of smoke are escaping its seams at a leisurely pace. In a quick move, Jungkook reaches to turn off the appliance.

Finally, the dreadful noise stops and Jungkook rushes to the wide-eyed Taehyung, who is looking way too enchanting with his loose top hanging off one golden shoulder and the rich red colouring his cheeks.

"My Knight in Shining Armour!" he tries to joke, but he's shaken, Jungkook can see that. He pulls him close, kissing softly.

"Darling, I thought I told you I was going to make dinner..." He can't help the totally smitten smile, his boyfriend is just the most adorable thing on the planet, despite the fact that he really, really cannot cook – and it's not from lack of trying either, their kitchen has suffered through worse than this!

The pout is devastating, the wide eyes staring at Jungkook, even more so.

"I just wanted to surprise you for once..." The wide eyes turn to the still rising smoke. "...but I think it might be a little bit overcooked..."

Jungkook laughs, it's warm, free, so incredibly happy. His joy melts into the soft mouth when he cannot resist it.

"I love you, Taehyung."

"Even when I can't cook for the life of me?"

"I love you because of it, you are so adorable, I can't even say... is this what happens when you never have to cook a meal in your life?"

Taehyung nods and the pout just makes Jungkook want to coo.

With a soft smile on his face, he opens the oven and brings out the sorry concoction, now completely dry and black, and puts it under the tap to cool it down. Quickly, he pulls out some veg out of the fridge and ramen out of the cupboard.

"I'll show you my favourite recipe and we can have that for dinner? Okay?"

The smile is worth everything, Jungkook would happily eat ramen for the rest of his life, just to have Taehyung here with him.

Just as well, his boyfriend feels the same.

"I love you, Baby."

Taehyung gave up his position at Chelong Industries voluntarily and moved in with Jungkook the very day he walked into his cosy apartment.

His savings were enough to pay for the ballet school and there was even some extra to live on – he could probably, easily, get another well-paid job in the industry too, even without the father of his soon-to-be ex-wife frothing at the mouth at him for choosing to leave her.

Taehyung told him, face-to-face. Since there was no evidence of their "transgression", there wasn't a lot the man could use to ruin his reputation with. So now, Taehyung is a free man, and as far as he is concerned – the luckiest man in the world!

"When you do decide to apply for a job, Angel, do make sure it's not in the food industry, I think your talents may lay elsewhere..." Jungkook says – referring to Taehyung's previous job – while casually tracing a finger across a golden collarbone.

Taehyung giggles, voice dropping lower, "Oh yeah? I can show you some of those "skills" right now..." of course, he's referring to an entirely different skill set. His hand wanders up the slick leggings, greedily...

Jungkook gasps when Taehyung reaches the top. "You're right... maybe dinner can wait... I'm in the mood for something else right now..." he bites at his lip, grabbing his boyfriend by the ass. Without warning, he lifts Taehyung over his shoulder and heads for the bedroom.
