Chapter 2- Nervousness

Rohirat's house

"WHAT THE HELL RO IT'S RAINING IN THE HOUSE!!!" Vi woke up with a jolt screaming. He shook his head and realized that he was for a change woken up by his best friend. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the clock which said it was 10 in the morning.

"Vi what's wrong with you? Why were you sleeping still don't you have to go for that commercial at 12." Ro said confused as to why he had to be doing the duty which wasn't even his to begin with. 

"Oh god I was awake till late looking up articles about Anushka and slept late." Vi said regretting not going to sleep earlier. "Oh ho Vi you are doing research and all huh? What's the scene?" Ro said nudging Vi's shoulder.

Vi facepalmed realizing what he had said and as now Ro would be teasing him insufferably. "Shut up yaar Rohit. Move now I have to get ready, I am already late." Vi said getting up from the bed.

"Yeah yeah obviously why will you spare time for this poor and unknown cricketer now that you get to meet big bollywood actresses?" Ro said wagging his eyebrows "Poor and unknown that too you?? Did you forget that you are the skipper of the national team of the most popular sport in India?" Vi said rolling his eyes.

"Also I am uh I am not going to meet Anushka there, I am going to do my work which is shooting that shampoo commercial." Vi said fumbling a little and Ro could see he was nervous. Ro softened realizing that "Vi don't be nervous yaar." Ro said.

Vi was going to retort back but saw that Ro was no more teasing and was genuinely concerned. "Ro it's not like I am going on a date I don't even know why I am feeling so nervous." Vi said unsteadily.

"Vi it's ok, she's just a normal human being like we are. And if she doesn't behave like that then it's her problem. You don't need to stress ok?" Ro said patting Vi's back so hard that he almost fell but that seemed to do the trick as he was feeling a bit better.

"You are my star player Vi, you are no less than someone." Ro said proudly which made Vi smile too. "Now go or you'll actually be late." Ro added before going out the door.

Anushka's house 

"Oh god for god's sake don't call me. I told you it's over which honestly I should have done way earlier. I should have understood the fact that you weren't all that serious when you started to get closer to her. So my well wishes with you two please spare me with your drama." Anushka said on the phone and threw it on her bed.

She was pacing around in her room ready to go out for her shoot but now very much disturbed. She was trying to rein in her anger and her phone rang again and she was ready to unleash her fury but stopped seeing the name.

"What happened Kanika?" Anushka said curtly and heard her sigh "He called again?" Kanika asked exasperated. "Yeah he did. Wasn't he the one who went away? I just should have stuck to my rule of not dating actors! Too damn drama and no loyalty, I am not made for these open relationships yaar. I am a date to marry kinda girl." Anushka said her anger now changing into sadness.

"Don't worry anu you'll definitely meet your one! He might be anyone a CEO, a painter, a singer or a CRICKETER anyone but there definitely is someone. There's someone for everyone babyyyy." Kanika said in a sing song tone trying to lighten anushka's mood.

She succeeded and Anushka gave a small but hearty laugh and said "Yeah yeah sure I know you are adamant on the fact that something might happen with me and the cricketer I am shooting the shampoo commercial with. Which is too unrealistic as both of us don't even know him. And on top of that he's known to be arrogant and rude." 

"Whatever Anu go out there and be yourself and please don't shut yourself up to everyone I don't want you to be alone and old with no one but dogs." Kanika said "At least they are loyal." Anushka said back and they both laughed there hearts out before keeping the phone.

Ad set

Vi parked his car and saw Ritsy waiting for him near his vanity. "Why didn't you meet me at the house?" Vi asked as she had messaged him to directly meet here.

"Nothing yaar actually I had come to a cafe nearby." Ritsy said looking through her folder "Oh?? Date huh? Cheating on my best friend are you?" Vi asked teasing her and Ritsy smacked him on his head "You idiot Sia is having some problems I was there with her." she said shaking her head.

"I know ritsy, I know you my sister won't do something like that." Vi said laughing but she could see through his act straight away "What happened to you?" she asked coming to the point.

"Wha- what happened to me? Nothing!" Vi said frowning and Ritsy just glared at him "How do you guys know when ever something's up with me???" Vi asked pouting and ritsy continued to glare.

"Ok ok I'll tell you, it's just that I am feeling a bit nervous. Ro actually helped a little but I wish he was here." Vi whined like a kid whos favorite toffee was snatched. "He also has work sautan ji, you know he had to meet jammy bhai." Ritsy said rolling her eyes.

"Also why are you nervous this is a three day shoot and it would be hardly 2-3 hours today not more than that. And from what I have heard she's not a snobby kinda celebrity so chill." Ritsy said reassuring her Bro.

"Don't worry go inside I'll send your makeup and hair crew, go get ready." She said pushing him towards the vanity van. Virat went up and sat on the chair and suppressed his urge to call his best friend.
