"Now, tell me.", Gagamaru whispers as he grabs your face gently, prompting you to look at his eyes. "Are you hurt?"
Wiping away remaining tears, you meet his gaze, offering a subtle sigh of relief.
"No, I just wanna go home.", you respond, embracing him tightly once more.
Caressing your head, he then firmly takes your hand, guiding you out of the restroom. You obediently follow while his imposing figure infront your smaller form acts as a protective shield.
As the two of you walk towards the exit, you see your coworker blocking the door. He seems tense under the piercing stare of Gagamaru looming right above him. Without a word, he steps aside, clearing a path for you and Gagamaru to pass through. As their eyes briefly meet, an unspoken tension lingers in the air, prompting you to lower your gaze and walk closely behind Gagamaru, whose hand is securely holding yours, providing a sense of safety and comfort.
Retrieving your bag, you both exit the store in silence. The only audible sound is the echo of footsteps on the pavement. Unsure why, you worry that Gagamaru might be upset with you, yet, you remain silent.
As the two of you walk home together, you can't help but wonder about Gagamaru's thoughts.
"Why isn't he saying anything...?", you apprehensively ask yourself.
