Chapter 3: Trouble in Little Atlas

In a Bullhead heading for the Solitas Wilds, inside of it, we have Winter alongside Clover and the rest of the Ace-Ops. The Group is tasked in investigating an SDC Mine, they heard Reports that all SDC Personnel inside the Mine were not responsive, and this led to Jackass complaining about it to Ironwood, stating this Mine is vital since it stores a lot of Dust that needs to be mined, and since Jacques has connections in the Atlas Council. Ironwood was ordered to send in Soldiers to investigate it.

And that is how they are here.

Clover: Alright, everyone. I believe you all know the situation. We lost contact with an entire SDC Mine and are tasked with investigating it, we don't know what caused all Communication to be cut off. But we believe it's either Grimm or the White Fang, so be prepared for anything.

The Ace-Ops nod as Clover heads over to the Cockpit to see Winter and the Pilot. He looks out towards the Window and sees the Mine in sight.

Winter: We're making our approach.

Clover: And from what I can tell, something happened. Something big.

He narrows his eyes, getting a small glimpse of the damage done to the Mine, and it isn't something the White Fang isn't capable of. Clover will have to take a closer look before calling it in.

The Bullhead lands in the Landing Pad of the SDC Mine, as Winter and the Ace-Ops exit out of it, Clover can be seen packing Arcadian Weaponry in his person, but made sure to cloak it to not have the Outsiders question him.

They head inside the Cave and it's eerily quiet, not a single sound was made, and Marrow is a Faunus, he has Enhanced Senses which means he can hear even the smallest of sounds, only to find nothing but silence, and that made him concerned. The Group continues walking through the SDC Mine as they can see numerous dead bodies on the ground, they went to take a look and see the bodies are riddled with Bullets, flames still present around the Mines. And it wasn't just the SDC Personnel that are dead, but the Faunus Workers as well.

Winter: Looks like this wasn't the work of Grimm and the White Fang, because all of the Faunus Workers here are dead. Let's look around and see what we can find.

The Group splits up as Clover goes over to a Dead Body of an SDC Guard, taking a look at the Bullet Holes, and he already came to a conclusion as he took a closer look.

Clover: 'Judging by the Bullet Holes in their bodies. These weren't done by Dust Bullets, but Aura Piercing Bullets. I need to call this in, and we need to leave now'

BOOM!

Suddenly, an explosion of Magical Energy erupts, sending both Vine and Elm flying to the ground. Clover looks up to see where it came from and sees Heaven's Gate Soldiers firing at them with their Assault Rifles. Clover immediately takes cover, knowing these Bullets aren't Dust and will pierce through him. He looks up and sees Winter and Marrow taking cover, as Harriet was about to use her Semblance and speed towards them. But knowing what will happen once she gets close, Clover runs over to Harriet and tackles her to the ground.

Harriet: Hey, what the hell are you doing, Clover?

Clover: Saving your life. The minute those Bullets hit you, you're dead. They're not Dust Bullets and can easily pierce through your Aura, and Aura ain't healing it.

Winter: And how do you know that?

Clover: I just do. Now stay in cover.

Winter and what's left of the Ace-Ops that aren't knocked out, take cover as Clover equips his Arcadian Weapons, for now, he readies the DMR and takes up a Defensive Position, crawling out of cover then firing his DMR at the Heaven's Gate Soldiers, a few were able to shrug off the Bullets due to the Bulletproof Vests, but a few shots in the head were able to take them down. Unfortunately, Winter and the Ace-Ops see the kind of Weapon, Clover is using, and we're curious of it.
