Disclaimer: I do not own the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword or anything affiliated with it. I only own Aria, Aaron, Delis, and any original scenes and headcanons I may have.

The Blooming Aster is also a flower of my own creation, and it plays a role in Aria and Aaron's backstories.

With all of that out of the way...

...Enjoy the prologue!

"The Wing Ceremony is tomorrow, Link... Are you ready?"

Link looked up at Fledge with a small hum, fixing the sleeve of his primarily cream shirt. Link nodded at Fledge, picking up his fork and piercing some of his food with it. "Yeah. Of course I'm ready. Zelda and the rest of you guys are counting on me and cheering me on..."

"...Not to mention Aria and Aaron." Pipit piped in as he sat down to Link's left. "They've been eagerly waiting for the Wing Ceremony since it's been announced that you would be one of the participants this year."

"I haven't seen Aria this excited about a Wing Ceremony since Aaron's—and we all know how that turned out." Karane came over to the table, Zelda beside her, and sat down across from Pipit. Zelda sat down to Link’s right as Karane continued her prior statement. "While it's her little brother competing, I wonder if Aria’s also anticipating for something else to happen—"

"—KARANE!" Zelda suddenly turned away from Link, averting her eyes from everyone else. Karane and Fledge could both see the deep red blush on Zelda's face—even if she tried to cover her face with her golden blonde hair.

"Zelda, are you..."

Zelda shook her head, giving Link a soft smile. "I'm alright, Link, don't worry. It's just something between Karane and I."

"Alright. I won't pry."

"Wait a second..." Fledge cut in, his brows furrowed. "Didn't Aria and Aaron become a couple a year before Aria’s Wing Ceremony? Wouldn't that mean that tomorrow is their seven year anniversary?"

"It's the day after tomorrow." Pipit and Link both responded at the same time before glancing at each other. They looked away, the same thought on their minds.

"Aaron's been trying to find something for Aria—and he finally got it finished today." Pipit then looked beside him. "I'm guessing Aria was the same with Aaron, Link?"

"Yeah. She found a gift for Aaron a couple of days ago." Link responded. "Between their anniversary and their wedding a couple of weeks from now, they have a lot to look forward to."

Karane took one look at Pipit and Link before shaking her head with an amused smile. "You two are just waiting for the day that you two actually become family, aren't you?"

"It's been at least seven years in the making, Karane... More if you count how long Aria and Aaron were friends before getting together." Zelda brought her head to her hands, resting her chin on her clasped hands.

"...Karane, you haven't lived with a pining Aaron..." Pipit shook his head, thinking about the past. "...It was so OBVIOUS that he liked Aria. He had to deal with pining for his best friend for YEARS."

"The whole island could see it. Everyone knew that Aaron liked her—except for her." Fledge agreed, nodding his head before a curious expression donned on his face. "Though... What did make Aria realize that she liked Aaron back?"

Zelda clapped her hands together as she straightened up. "She actually told me this! It was on her sixteenth birthday. Remember when Aaron found that field of Blooming Asters and picked one as a present to Aria for her birthday? That's when Aria realized it."
