"Chaeyoung! Wake up you're almost late for the train!" Chaeyoung opened her eyes after hearing her mother scold her. "Lock the door once you leave!" She heard the front door close and Chaeyoung groaned.
She felt a headache creeping in and she knew it was because of her hangover. She partied hard last night with her friends. They went past their limit and blacked out. She could hardly remember what went down that night.
Chaeyoung splashed water on her face, attempting to wake herself up. She grabbed her clean uniform that her mother thankfully washed. She didn't try to tie her tie properly. Chaeyoung got to the point where she found school useless so she barely attempts to wear the uniform right.
Chaeyoung would wear pants to school. Others wondered why but a few knew why. Chaeyoung wasn't fully a girl. Though she was popular, her secret wasn't known. She always kept it hidden.
She slung her bag on her shoulder, locking the door behind her. She walked towards the train station, plugging in her own headphones. She clicked play on her favorite playlist. She placed her phone in her pocket hoodie as she made way to her destination.
Thankfully, she arrived on time. She stood with the office workers who were impatiently waiting. Some men had their ties messy, shirt unbuttoned. Women with messy hair and a cup of coffee on their hands.
Chaeyoung sighed since maybe she'll be in their shoes one day. She didn't have any plans to attend college. She wanted to go out with her friends and just have fun. She didn't want to waste time worrying about her future.
She then felt a presence stand next to her. Chaeyoung looked over and found a girl with dark hair, covering her face slightly. She was holding a book while glancing around for the train. Chaeyoung snorted to herself.
'What a nerd.'
Chaeyoung looked back and found the train arriving. She watched as the desperate office workers squeezed their way through. She saw the girl walk to the other carriage and Chaeyoung shrugged, following her. It was best to avoid the whole mob.
Chaeyoung walked in and sat by the doors. She let out a sigh and leaned her head back. She stared at the fluorescent lights, seeing the small bugs trapped inside. More and more people filled up the train. Chaeyoung looked back down and found the girl sitting across from her.
Chaeyoung eyed her carefully. She was still reading the book. Her legs closed and composed. Wearing a skirt with high tights. Chaeyoung's eyebrows rose. She was wearing the same uniform as hers, just, done neatly.
'I've never seen her before.'
Chaeyoung was pretty popular but people were still afraid of her. She carried an annoyed scowl everywhere she went. Her dark shoulder length hair also intimidated others.
The train ride was quiet. Only thing that Chaeyoung could head was her music. She crossed her arms and leaned her head on the side rail. She stared at the book the girl was reading.
'What could be so interesting?'
Just then, the train stopped again, letting in some passengers while some got off. Then a slap met her shoulder and her eyes darted to the suspect.
"Chaeng Chaeng!" Dahyun widely smiled at her. She sat down by Chaeyoung, placing her bag on her lap. "How's your hangover? You seem out of it." She chuckled. Chaeyoung rolled her eyes and went back to staring at the girl's book.
"I really want to skip today. I don't think I'll make it past first period." Her voice groggy.
"This is why you should never go past your limit." Dahyun nudged her arm. "Try being like her one day." She used her mouth to signal the girl across from them. Chaeyoung furrowed her brows in disgust.
