Chapter 4~

Aeon. My new name.

" the person you once were is dead

All Demi are granted new names, given by their savior

Aeon is your new name for now on. Never forget it."

I'm now a new person and I have a new life I'm going to relive. Make this life somewhat less meaningless. I'm still haunted by those words I heard. What do they mean? What is it trying to say to me? I desprateley need to know what and why I'm hearing this. All I know is that it's something connected to my past life. I know it is. It has to be.

Viola and I have been running from the Hunters for quite some time now. She says they're assassins. Doing dirty work for anybody who can pay the price. We're wanted. For what? Who knows. But one thing I know is that we can not be spotted. The Hunters may kill us or do something worse. But, I don't think about how they'll kill us. I'll only think about it when it's going to happen.

I look around and keep watch so there is no Hunter in sight. Nothing. I signal Viola saying ' The coast is clear '. She then goes in front of me and beckons me to follow. I do as she says and follow. I let the darkness of the night cloak me so I'm unnoticed. He let his gaurd down. I thought. This is just too easy. I pull out the sythe, walk up behind the Hunter, and slit his throat.

I see the blood squirt out of his neck it gets all over my hands. I wipe off the blood on my clothes. I only kill these Hunters for my own survival. If they weren't after me, I wouldn't care less about them. " I killed him" I say. " Good" Viola replies back to me. "Let's go"

We then run. We ran so far that we arrived into the deep part of the forest. It was a full moon and I heard a wolf howl into the dark moonlit night. A soft, cool breeze blew gently through my light colored hair. This part of the forest around this time has always kept me calm. It's pure bliss.

I feel something wet drip on my face. I quickly wipe it off my face. It decided to rain. I thought to myself. The crystal clear raindrops kiss my cheeks softly and cooly. I could taste the rain. Everything looked beautiful. I even saw a plant's leaves covered in raindrops and one little drop splashes onto the wet ground. " Let's stay around here." Viola said. "Keep watch and kill any Hunter on sight." I nod  my head. " I undersand" I reply.

It eventually stopped raining and I'm soaking wet. "Damn, That rain got me soaking wet." I said. Viola sighed. " We both are. What we're wearing is the only kind of clothing we own. What to do?" I reply back " Let's just hang the clothes to dry. It's not like anybody is going to steal our clothes" Viola then replies back " I suppose." She started to undress first and I follow. We hang our wet clothes on the tree branches hoping that it'll dry overnight. After all that, I was exausted. I lay down on the cold ground and at the minute I closed my eyes, I fell right asleep.

 Chapter 5

What really woke me up is the early morning sun. The rays shine directly upon my face and I sheild my eyes. The sunlight pretty much blinded me. Damn sunlight! I then use my free hand to run through the knotted mess of my ligh colored hair. Still damp. I get myself up and off of the ground and dust the dirt off of my undegarments. My udergarments were still wet and there was a soft breeze. It was really cold and it felt like I was going to become an ice cube at any minute.

I check on my clothes. I could see that my clothes were still wet. It was only a white gown. Pretty much all the clothing I owned. Nothing else. No shoes, sweater, or shorts. I really wish I had shoes. My feet started to hurt like hell yesterday. I looked at my feet and it was bleeding. There were deep cuts and one big blister that hurt like a bitch. I hope I could find some shoes somewhere.

I look into the deep forest shining with sunlight. The sun's rays of light shimmer through the leaves and the branches of the redwood trees, birds chirping to a sweet little song, and the fresh smelling air. I breathe in. I breathe out. The ideal thing for today would be a freshly brewed cup of coffee. I haven't experienced this so why not take advantage of it?

I then hear a loud yawn. "Mornin'" I said. "Morning" Viola said groggly and rubbed her eye. She gets up and shecks on the clothes. "Still wet." She said "But I really don't care." She grabs her clothes and puts them on. Everything she put back on was black. Her long-sleeved shirt, her pants with various compartments for keeping weapons. And her boots that had that strange silver tint to it. My once white gown was caked with my own blood. The one I was dying in on tha-

I feel my head throb. I fall onto my knees and start to scream. The sharp pains in my head kept comming, unable to stop. The pain just grew. I all of a sudden I heard " What is the point of living a dark, meaningless life? When it just brings you sorrow."

"Stop." I whine. " Stop telling me what I already know."

Please, Someone, Save me from this nightmare.
