The bloody destiny

I clenched my fists hoping she would go away. lately she's been haunting my dreams more often. she stared at me . though now her face was much more pale  . There was no escaping from it! I have to confess.

"Nadia! You fell asleep again." I felt a strong hand touching my back. I glanced through my gold bangs, finding Alex in front of me. He had a worried look on his face. "you know.. if you keep falling asleep like that, you will never have time to study. Plus the exams are tomorrow." Alex said steadily. Oh no i forgot! "Thanks for waking me Alex. So what question did we finish on?". I hate math. I was always bad at it. I'm glad to have Alex help me. He's always been a genius at these stuff... i envy him.

The school bell rang; In an instant the corridors were filled with students rushing to class. What do I have now? Biology. I walked down to the science department. I heard a faint cry. "I'm sorry...I'm not interested in you. I already have someone i like". I know this deep soothing voice. Alex. I guess another girl confessed to him. Glancing at him, i reassured myself that he didn't notice me. Alex has been turning down girls many times, but, i was surprised when he said "no" to Amber. She's the prettiest girl in school. Every guy likes her... apart from Alex. It actually makes me happy. Mrs. Perfect is not so perfect now! Speaking of the devil! "Move you little brat!"Amber said pushing her way through. I gave her my stare of death. "Go dump yourself into their nearest dustbin. Thats where you belong!" I snapped back at her. In a second, everyone's eyes were on me. Their gazes were full of anger... I decided to ignore it. I just simply walked of.

Sitting down, I glanced at my Biology paper. I felt my tummy twigling and pulling. I was full of nothing yet full of everything,which is partly why I failed this exam......
My friend Jane on the hand... she received perfect scores.
"Hey Nadia: what did you get in your exam?". Looking down and turning red I replied."ummm....haha. I got .....2....27."patting my back, Jane reassured me." Don't worry work hard so that next time you won't fail" she walked of with a smile. She's my best friend, I'm glad to have her by mi side.

Break time came in pretty fast. I was in the girls bathroom washing my hands when, I felt a cold touch on my shoulder. Intensely turning around, I found no one there. But. A shadowy figure in the mirror caught my intention. "Its all your fault" the whispers echoed in my head. My hear skipped a beat after I noticed who's guise it was in the mirror. "your that girl from my dreams!" I screamed out, as she started to disappear back into the darkness. The whole bathroom became bright, as if an angle has entered, scaring all the evil away.

My day at school came to an end. Waiting for Alex infront of the school, rain began to come down. The grey clouds empowered the negative emotions hidden in me. That girl ...... who is she ? Why does she haunt me ? Why .....
"Hey, Nadia!". Feeling warm and safe I realised there was an umbrella protecting me, from the glacial rain. "Oh it's you Alex". " you look dissapointed" he snapped giving me a smirk. I smirked back at him. I don't understand why. but. everytime I'm with him, my heart almost skips a beat... warmth fills my body along with happiness as long as I'm with Alex. We walked in silence under the protection of his umbrella. " you know Nadia... another girl asked me out today.but. I didn't feel bad turning her down." Alex announced gently giving me a faint smile. " why is that?" I asked. Alex shrugged his shoulders in reply.
His words ..... I guess he's so used to turning them down, it doesn't affect him anymore.

The clouds cleared, illuminating brightness welcomed itself into this world full of sombre secrets. Alex was the person who devoured all my secrets, just with his presence. Noticing his handsome posture, his brown hair reflected golden streaks of light. " Nadia, are you ok , your all red." Turing away from his face I replied. " Oh look we arrived at my house. Thanks for walking me. Bye." Turing around swiftly, something grabbed my arm. Alex pulled me to himself. His face was so close to mine. My heart began shrinking. " are you sure your fine?" I nodded. His tight grip became weaker.
"See you tomorrow." Alex said waving as he walked of into the beam of light.

March came in pretty quick. Blossom trees awakend, decorating the land with vivacious shades of fuchsia. Birds passed by. Walking down the long path I enjoyed every bit of the first day of spring, before the hassle of my school life began once again. The lake was still. Silent. It hasn't awoken, yet frogs leaped between lillypads. Brightening the path before me, the sun guided me through the moribund park.

Arriving at school, my halcyon mood faded. AMBER. Staring me right on the eyes, she smiled sarcasticall.
" Oh look it's the brat ! " I ignored her and simply walked by. Amber used to be different.... we actually used to be best friends. But it ended after that happened. I tried to not think about it. Otherwise it would make my day even worse.

I recognised Jane from the distance. We did one of our
"Slow motion runs". We hugged as soon as we were less than a metre away.
"Jane you had a haircut?" I asked in surprise.
" Don't even ask... my mum forced me to." She said as we parted from the hug. Her hair was then cut short (around shoulder length) which made her look extremely adorable. Her brown eyes and ginger hair displayed her lovable personality. " ok see you later I have art now". I said before we went separate ways.

Naturally in art class , Alex was already focusly painting away. The smooth movements of his slim fingers and the brush, synchronised perfectly. I sat down faintly making any noise. Watching his proud glimmering eyes, Alex carried on crafting his dream. He was the master of art. He won many awards, including the international art competition. Some even called him " the devine prince of art." Realising I said that out loud, I tried to hide behind my canvas. I expected  Alex to turn around. HE didn't . Alex has dissappeard into thin air. The room became pitch black. No life. Death. These words stood out in my head, like a bow and arrow which had pierced my heart. A cool breeze brushed through my ponytail, whispering urban legends into my ear. I froze. I was isolated. And. She was there. In the dark corner, the little girl stood and spied. Her long black dress blended well with the shadows, though her pale face stood out like the moon at night. " guilty. Guilty. Guilty." These words echoed in my head...... I was abonded. Alone.

Darkness filled my head. Everything became silent the cool breeze stopped. The whispering stopped. It was just me now.....

" NADIA! NADIA! WAKE UP "
As the light of the sun filled my mind I recognised the maroon eyes infront of me. Janes worried face shrieked with antagonism.
" are you ok? You fainted after I told you that me and Alex are going out ...."
My eyed widened in surprise. " yeah I'm fine don't worry, I think I have a small  fever. No big deal. " I reassured her. " someone fainting because of a  " small fever" is a big deal". Jane said as she helped me to my feet.

In nearby halls Faint  footsteps echoed. They were getting louder and louder.  "Hey Jane about the date.....wait why is Nadia so pale? Are u ok? What happened?" Alex asked as he put his arm on my shoulder. " Its just a small fever don't worry. Anyway it looks like you two Have things to talk about so I won't bother you. I have to prepare for my next class." I said giving them a faint smile as I walked of.
Why did I suddenly feel the need to leave ? Why ? Why .....
