The bloody destiny

I was still embraced in shadows. They protected me as always. Though now the darkness grew bigger engulfing me even more. I didn't mind it. I desired this fate.....

School ended and as always I waited for Alex at the front gate. I recognised his handsome figure in the near distance. Opening my mouth ready to greet him I started waving. He waved back. Though his eyes seemed to be alocated at someone else. " hi Alex !! " said a female voice . It belonged to Jane. She ran at break neck speed towards him, hugging Alex as tightly as she could. They both seem happy.... I'm glad l.they're both important to me. So why do I feel the urge to cry?

" Hey Nadia, sorry I can't walk you home today as you can see I have a lady to escort home" Alex said briefly. " ummm this lady doesn't need escorting. It's fine you can walk Nadia home." Jane replied smiling brightly as ever. We said our last goodbyes. Me and Alex headed for my house.

Silence...... occurred silence stood between us. What should I say to him ? " so how are you and Jane ?" I asked politely. " we're fine but more importantly how are you we didn't get the chance to talk much at school."
" well I'm fine to nothing special is happening , just life like always."
" Nadia." Alex said with a firm loud voice. " y....ye......yes?" I replied nervously as his serious tone put me into a rather unexpected feeling of pressure. " I know you're not fine. I know ever since we were born. You can't hide it from me." A single tear trickled down my cheek.
No no I don't want to cry infront of him......
" stupid hay fever!" I exclaimed. 2 strong arms raped around me. An angelic face rested on my shoulder. "please don't cry." We stood there in silence. In the most comfortable silence I ever encountered. I burst out into tears. His embrace became tighter. He tried to protect me from the sadness which filled my body more and more.....

After a few minutes I have calmed down. We parted from the tight embrace. Though my face was still soggy from all the tears. Alex gently wiped my face with a tissue. His slim fingers examined every little fragment of my face , until it was dry. " what's happening ?" Alex asked once again. " to be honest I don't even know myself..... I guess I'm just a coward like always..... the thing is every time I see you and Jane together I feel like crying..... don't get me wrong I..." I have been interrupted by Alex who had the most serious face ever. " look Jane is special to me. But. That doesn't mean that our friendship is over, you will always be like a little sister to me. I will always be there for you."
At that moment my heart stopped. The sadness grew even bigger but I managed to hide it .
We arrived at my house and I waved a goodbye to Alex and once again he walked of into a beam of light.
