Peter had no idea how he ended up in this situation. He was asked by the X-Men to assist in some reconnaissance in the Savage Lands alongside Laura.

But due to some unforeseen circumstances the plane they were in malfunctioned and crashed into the beach along the edge of island.

So now he was stranded on a near deserted island with no way of contacting the outside world, the X-Men wouldn't notice their disappearance until they failed to return in a few days, and also... being stranded with the volatile and currently enraged Laura Kinney.

Peter was brought out of his moping in the sand by the sound of a tree falling, turning around he could see Laura emerge from the forest claws fully extended as she let loose her anger and tore away at the tree trunk until it fell.

Normally Peter would try to be comforting in this sort of situation but even he had a hard time finding light in this predicament not to mention he didn't think Laura would take to kindly to his words at the moment. So, he kept his mouth shut.

Laura let out a ferocious growl as she continued to hack and slash at the fallen tree, shards of wood being sent flying as her claws ripped through the wood as if it were nothing.

After a few minutes she finally settled and planted herself on the sandy beach a little bit away from Peter.

It was already late into the afternoon when they crashed on the island but now with the sun getting lower it began to dawn on Peter on what they should do next.

Thankfully they had managed to pull a few things from the plane before it crashed like food and water but aside from that they had nowhere to sleep and the Savage Lands aren't exactly a place you want to be out in open.

"Hey... maybe we should think about where we're gonna sleep tonight? I doubt anyone's gonna find is for a while so we might as well get comfortable." Peter suggested taking his mask off, with no one around and Laura already knowing his identity there was no reason to keep it on.

Laura gruffed in response, it seemed that although her outburst of rage had subsided, her anger at the situation had not. But she agreed that having somewhere to sleep was necessary so she stood up and strolled into the dense forest to look for anything they could use.

Without another word spoken Peter followed her inside the forest... unaware of what would follow.

Laura and Peter continued to traverse the dense forests of the Savage Lands, Laura continued to slash at the bramble that obscured their vision and also to let out her frustrations.

So much so that she failed to notice the slight drop in the ground and with one misstep Laura went tumbling down and landed in patch of pink and purple flowers, coughing a little as the dirt and pollen filled her lungs.

If Laura wasn't frustrated before, falling and landing into the dirt was definitely getting her frustrated now.

Picking herself back up Laura's face grew more furious than before as she looked down at the dirt that covered her. She let out a small snarl as she then gave up on trying to find anything for tonight, instead she wanted to get cleaned up and hopefully get her clothes washed.

Making their way through the forest both of them came across a river, it wasn't that large but it was in a large clearing from the trees and gave them a place to stop for a while if not for the night. So, it was as good a place as any to sleep and clean themselves up.

Laura decided that she would go first seeing as she was the one covered in dirt. Peter left so she could be alone but not too far away that they would get separated.

Laura stripped off her clothes and carried them into the water, the water was cold but what could be expected. She did her best to clean off everything that was on her clothes and to fully wash herself but there was only so much she could do.
