Chains of Shadows

Delphine's POV:
Her curly jet-black hair fell down her back as she ran around in her big backyard. "I'm going to get you, Elle!" the brother yelled as he chased her around.
"No you're not I'm faster than you" the curly-haired girl yelled while giggling to herself.
"Elle, I'm thirsty I'm going in the house to get something to drink, ok?" The boy said walking into the big house. "OK, can you get me a juice box?" The little girl asked.
"Sure, give me one second," The black-haired boy yelled.
The little girl then goes and sits on her swing set and waits for the little boy to come back, but right before she sits down she hears gunshots. The black-haired girl then runs inside to make sure the little boy is ok, but right before she enters the kitchen a pair of big arms wrap around her waist and a hand goes over her mouth.
"WHERE IS DELPHINE?" An older man with jet-black hair yells. Delphine tries to yell but her screams are muffled.
Five boys and women and a man all ran into the kitchen yelling her name but when they spotted her in the man's arms they all froze.
The man with black hair pulls out a gun and points it at the man behind her. "Put her down, now," the man said with a low and demanding tone.
"I don't think I will, I think I just found my new chew toy," The man said while laughing.
"PUT HER DOWN YOU FUCKING DIPSHIT!" The five boys spoke one's mind at the same time.
The man just laughed, and then everything went black.

The raven-haired girl woke up in a cold dark cell. The little girl tried to stand up but she couldn't, she was chained to the floor. All of a sudden an old man walks into the cell.
"Finally you're awake my love, That man did a bad thing so now you're going to pay his debts," The man said, stepping closer to the girl.
"I'm so happy I got a new toy to add to my collection," The man said, pushing the girl's hair behind her ear.
The girl tried to move away but she couldn't. "Delphine darling, I need to listen to me and listen carefully, ok?" The man asked, and the girl just shook her head.
"You are mine, ok, I own you, and this pretty little body of yours," The man said, rubbing his hand on her chest. "You may not touch any other man without my permission, and if you do I will kill them, and hurt you badly." The man said, with a low tone, and hit the girl across the face.
"o-ok," the girl said, stuttering, glancing at him through her damp eyelashes. "Also when I inform you to do something and you don't do it or do it right that will result in you getting a punishment, do you understand, sweetheart?" The man said, with a wide smile.
"y-yes I-I understand," the girl said, trying to hold back her tears.
The man then kissed her on her forehead and walked away. The girl then started to cry, all she wanted was to go home.
"Delphine," someone called her name, "DELPHINE," someone yelled.
"yes?" I said, snapping back to reality.
"girl you need to pay attention, do you know the plan?" my best friend Isabel said, looking at me for an answer.
"Yeah, I know the plan," I said, looking at her with a blank stare.
"Alright since you know the plan, what is it?" Isabel's triplet brothers Antonio and Matteo asked, looking at me with their arms crossed. Isabel and her two brothers Antonio, and Matteo are triplets, Antonio is the 1st born, Matteo is the 2nd born and Isabel is the last born, and they are my best friends.
"First you two go around back and clear it, I and Isabel stay here until y'all are done when you two are done y'all will give us a signal to go in, once we're inside we kill everyone in the warehouse, and extract the new shipments," I answered, rolling my eyes.
"Oh, so she was listening, good job, dolly," Antonio said, clapping his hands. Antonio is the loudest one out of the three.
"Shut up and go," I said in an annoyed tone, and they both left to do their part of the plan.
"Della, what if we get caught? he's going to kill us for sure," Isabel said, with worry in her eyes. Isabel may be older than me but she is like the baby of the group, she's always worried that one of us will get hurt.
"Belle, we are not going to get caught, and we are not dying today or any other day for a long time, ok?" I said looking into her eyes and I meant every word I said.
"Ok," Belle said, and just as she said that the boys gave us the signal that the outside perimeter was clear.
"Let's go," I said, turning the safety off of my gun. I and Belle then walk to the back entrance and meet Antonio and Matteo.
We all stand in front of the back entrance. "How long until midnight?" I asked Matteo. "Ten seconds," he said looking at his phone. Unlike Isabel and Antonio, Matteo is an introvert, he's quieter than they are and he doesn't speak much, he's a man of very few words.

"It's midnight," Matteo said, eventually looking up from his phone. "Antonio shut the lights off," I said with a firm tone.
Antonio does some typing on his phone and all the lights shut off.
"Alright there off," he said, sliding his phone into his pocket. "Everyone got their night vision glasses?" I said putting my glasses on, and they all do the same.
"Alright let's go and remember to stay in the shadows." I nodded my head signaling them to go in.
We walk into the tall building, and the first thing I see is guards running everywhere trying to turn the lights back on, Isabel raises her gun and starts shooting the men and her brothers do the same.
I keep my gun low and walk to the back of the warehouse where the shipment was just delivered.
I walk down this long hallway that leads to two big doors.
I put my ear to the door to see if I can hear anything, and all I hear is silence. "Persephone, where are you?" I hear Antonio's voice in my earpiece. "I found the doors that lead to the shipments," I said in a low voice. Also, you may be thinking "Who the fuck is Persephone?" well I'm one of the best assassins in the world and I work for the Greek mafia.
"Are you sure you want to go in there without backup?" Isabel asked, I could barely hear her because of the gunshots in the background.
"I'll be fine," I said as I pushed one of the big doors open and slipped, threw the door, and closed it behind me. "Alright I'm in when y'all are done meet me in here," I said in a hushed tone. "Alright, boss," they all said in sync and just rolled my eyes.
I walk around the big room with my gun raised and ready to shoot. When I finally lock my eyes on the shipment that I'm looking for I slowly walk over to it.
Wait, how come there are no guards around? I then stop dead in my tracks when I see someone hiding behind the big wooden crate. IT A TRAP, ITS A MOTHER FUCKING TRAP, and as soon as I'm about to turn around someone holds a knife to my throat.
someone with a deep raspy voice then says, "Caught you,"

Tips for Wattpad writers always write for chapters on a different platform because if you lose your account or your book gets taken down you will always still have your chapters and everything else.
