Rings of retribution

Delphine's POV:

I walk back into the main trading area and look around. I see people training and talking but I don't see Isabel and her brothers.

I walk further into the training area and see Lorenzo talking to one of the guards.

Where the fuck are they?

They wouldn't run off without telling me so where could they have possibly gone?

I hear someone's quiet footsteps behind me, I turn around and it's the girl who kept staring at me like I was a homewrecker.

I'm not a homewrecker, but if you want me to blow your house up I will.

She had blonde hair, big blue eyes, and a curvy frame. Any man's dream girl. She looked to be about 20, just one year older than me.

She was a few inches shorter than me and had on a sports bra and black training shorts. She looks me up and down and crosses her arms.

I just stare at her with a blank expression. What the fuck does she want? After what felt like thirty minutes of standing and staring at each other she finally spoke.

"Why do you keep staring at me like that? Do we have a problem, rookie?" She asks, tilting her head to the side.

She stares at me like she's known me her whole life, but I don't know who she is.

Rookie? I know this bitch did not just call me a rookie.

She indeed called you a rookie.

Shut up.

"I am extremely far from being a rookie, and we only have a problem if you make it one," I say, putting a sweet smile on my face.

"You better watch your back, rookie or you're going to be in big trouble," she says, trying to make herself taller than me. This is almost laughable.

"I see," I say, looking the girl up and down trying to stifle back my laugh. She then poked me in my chest with her nails, "Stay away from him, or else" she warned, or at least tried to, that warning was weak.

Who's him?

"Or else what?" I asked, walking closer to her, "Your little threat was weak," I said, crossing my arms.

She turns her head to the side and looks at the rest of the guards, she turns back to me and pushes me back, "Let me show you a real threat," I say, with a small chuckle.

I pull my gun out of my holster and aim it at her, before she can react I let off three shots.

She was just there, frozen in place, I shot one above her head and on each side of her body, the bullets went flying into the wall far behind her, and everyone around us went completely still.

"What the hell is going on here?" a deep voice asks with a strong Italian accent, the whole room goes silent, you could hear a pin drop from how silent everyone got.

I looked away from her and looked at everyone around us. They looked petrified like they saw their whole family die in front of them.

What the hell are they scared of?

YOU.

I'm not that bad.

If lying to yourself helps you sleep then go right ahead.
