Alessio saved me that day. If you would have told me at the beginning of our story he would save me; I would have laughed in your face. I never seen Alessio as a caring and compassionate person. He always seemed to me like an egoistic jerk. That day we thought we ended our greatest threat.... If only we knew our greatest threat was the name Rayna.

If I remember correctly, she was Arcangelo's love. His heart. The world sees him as the younger brother of Alessio who is an intelligent man. They've never seen him do killings for his mafia or 'criminal' activities. If only they knew The Angel Of Death that they're afraid in the dark is none other than Arcangelo himself.

The story I've heard about Arcangelo's first love is a sad story to say the least. From what I've heard from the Greco's beside Arc; they met in high school. Arc was in training for the mafia at the time. He never let the darkness taint his soul because he had so much lightness within him. That is until years later when the lightness burned out and left himself in the darkness.

Rayna's father was American while her mother was Italian. Her parents let her move in with her uncle in Italy so she could experience her Italian roots. Rayna and Arcangelo clicked instantly when they first met. Their love blossomed more as time went by. Until a mystery happened that shocked everyone. Four years into their relationship at nineteen, she just up and vanished. Her disappearance took a toll on Arcangelo. They never were able to find the young lady. As the time went by, Arcangelo's soul apparently began to darken with that time. By the time I met him, he was known as the Angel Of Death. He gotten that name because he was always the one that went on missions, the one who done the most killings, the one who put his own life in jeopardy to end a threat to his family. When I would look at Arcangelo, I don't see this 'darkness' they're talking about. I don't see him as an Angel of Death. I seen him as the intelligent yet goofy Arcangelo. The male who wore his heart on his sleeve. Hearing the stories of Rayna and Arc and how her disappearance changed him... It's shocking. To say the least.

Over time, I slowly began to see the side of him that everyone mentioned. Slowly I was seeing the darkness in his eyes. It was like the light was temporary and it only shined when he wanted it too. As I watched him, I noticed more and more things I never noticed before. His angelic face is hardened and cold when someone threatens his family now. His goofy smile that taunted people as in to say 'come play' has vanished. It's replaced with what I assume is the Angel of Death. It makes me numb to realize the entire time I known Arc, he was this other being. He hid it well for a while but now I see what everyone had said before. It makes my heart tighten at the thought of what Arc is thinking. Doesn't he see he's loved? He doesn't have to be this hardened killer. A person who masks their feelings so no one will question him. It'll only be a matter of time before he explodes because he keeps everything bottled up within him.

The day we realized we had an even bigger threat was the day our main door blew up into pieces as Arc was mere meters from it. The blast blew him into our foyer wall. When Alexander and I caught a glimpse of the invader.... It was none other than Rayna herself. She didn't look like the photographs I've seen of her. Her light brown wavy hair is now black and flowing down her back. She still petite but she has more meat on her bones than at fifteen. I watched as she ran off jumping the bushes like they were nothing. Without thinking, I begin to run after her. My gun strapped around my ankle like always.

"What the hell are you doing Izzy!" Alex screams.

"That's my damn brother she tried to kill. I be damned if she gets away with it." I yell back with a fierce voice. I run down the driveway as I look over; I see her jumping over the bush and on to our driveway. I push my thicker legs to move faster. Training with the guys has helped out with my stamina and my breathing.

"Hey bitch! That was my brother you tried to blow up." I yell out at her retreating figure. She stumbles over my words which gave me the extra boost I needed. I leap into the air and my shoulder collides with her back. We both tumble on to the stone driveway. A sharp pain erupts through my right knee that made contact with the hard ground below. I nest my fingers into her hair and smash the side of her face into our driveway. Before the men could come to where we are; Rayna has managed to twist our bodies around with her getting the upper hand. Just as she had raised her blade to my throat, a gunshot rings out and skims past her fabric arm.

A warning shot.

I watch as Rayna jumps to her feet and clears our gate as if she was a ninja.

"You missed her!" I call out in frustration.

"Missed her? Yes I did." Alessio says in anger. I shoot my husband a deadly glare as he shakes his head.

"If I had shot her, her knife could have sliced you ear to ear my love. It wasn't something I was risking. We will catch her but I'm not risking your safety in the process." He comments as he catches up to me.

"Why the fuck is she targeting Arc? Oh shit! Arc!" I yell out and begin to run towards the house.

"What is with the yelling!" Arc says from the nearest bush as he walks towards us. He has minor injuries to his face. Which causes me to let out a sign of relief.

"I would say it has something to do with her disappearance." Alex answers meters behind us.

"Why Arc?" I question. No one answers it. I glance back over at Arc and it makes my heart tighten again to think he's her next target.

Arc is in danger and I have no clue how to protect my brother.
