Monday

"Guess I'm grounded for another week," Rian muttered as she sat across Mayday at their table – which used to be her table with Dean before all this shit happened – with the usual vomit-inducing lunch the cafeteria always serves.

Mayday shrugged, taking a sip of Coke, "Not my fault. Nobody told you to stay longer than you should've, and you're welcome."

Rian rolled her eyes. It was definitely your fault that I got caught. I wouldn't even be going out in the first place if you hadn't kidnapped me. It was also definitely your fault that I bumped into Dean, and it most definitely is your fault that I'm... hurting.

Or maybe not. It was my choice anyway.

Rian sighed.

"Yo! What's up? How are my ladies doing?" A wild Lenox appeared and used flirt, sitting right beside Rian.

As annoyed as Rian was in the situation, all she could muster to say was, "Get away from me, Lenox." Or I'll kill you.

Because of the incident last night – which involved Lenox's dinner – she was forced (by Mayday) to agree to be taken home by Dean. Thus, resulting to 30 minutes of awkwardness, and what made it worse was that Dean was driving slowly on purpose just so he could talk with Rian about what happened and how they ended up this way. Of course that infuriated Rian since she had to race her mother home. It would've been faster if I ran, she kept thinking.

In the end, all Rian said was, "Hm." which meant, "Thanks for the ride. I really appreciate it," – supposedly.

Instead, it actually meant, "Thanks for the ride. I died for 30 minutes but I really don't mind, and thanks for getting me caught for purposely driving like a tortoise. That really helped. A lot."

Despite the life-threatening thought and the grudge held by Rian against Lenox, he just officially sentenced himself to death, saying, "You skipping class to avoid Dean today too?"

"You're avoiding Dean?" Mayday retorted, sending her Coke flying towards some random student's Math book – which seemed to hold the key to his graduation.

I apologize on behalf of Mayday, Rian mused.

Mayday continued, "Well that explains why you've been hiding in the bathroom stalls lately. What the hell, Rian? Why didn't you tell me?"

Rian glared at Lenox for telling such valuable information. One part of her wanted to kill herself for actually being so stupid to even trust Lenox about those kinds of things. The other part of her just wanted to rip Lenox's head off for being so loquacious.

Lenox just shrugged and smiled innocently while trying to divert his attention to Mayday's salad to avoid Rian's wrath.

Mayday broke the tension between the two, "So... why?"

"Huh? What 'why'?" Rian was playing dumb, as usual.

"You know... Dean?"

"Uhm."

Meanwhile, inside Rian's brain:

Oh God. Maybe she knows the reason, and she just wants to hear it from me for confirmation. It's not a far-off possibility since Dean must have told her about the incident. Yes, that must be it, but what if it's not it? What if she doesn't really know? She'll kill me if she finds out about it. She might break up with Dean or something. I don't want that. Dean will be crushed, and he'd blame me for talking too much. Should I tell her the truth? Should I play dumb some more? Oh God I think I want to die now. Ok, think, Rian, think. You have 4 choices:
