A steaming hot espresso is being made with the help of a coffee machine. Julie Powers can be seen working her coffee shop job. She pours a client his coffee and throws it onto the counter unapologetically. That's when a familiar face enters the establishment, her red hair with yellow tips could be seen from a few blocks away

"You changed your hair" She remarks "What's up Ramona?"

"Nothing major" Ramona replies "Just, someone kidnapped Scott Pilgrim and faked his death"

"You're f*****g joking" Julie says slamming her hands on the counter

"Stacey I'm taking my fifteen!" She angrily informs

"You took your fifteen 20 minutes ago!" Stacey can be heard from the back of the coffee shop, along with a plate dropping "and would you stop swearing? We have f*****g customers!"

"F**k my life!" Julie waves off Stacey and focuses on Ramona

"Tell me everything" she says with a grin

Ramon then proceeds to explain how, last night she heard Scott in her dreams and saw his subspace highway. She thinks it might've meant he's alive. That's why she decided to go back to the Rockit to look at the security footage. It turned out that Scott was in fact not dead but he was pulled into some sort of portal

"Somebody wants us to think he's dead" Ramona finishes her recap while grabbing a bite of a strawberry cake

"I knew it was too good to be true" Julie says in both anger and disappointment

"Can a guy get a croissant?" A familiar male voice can be heard interrupting their chat

"Wallace? Have you been out all night?" Ramona questions

"Did you say Scott's alive?" He said clearly feeling the effects of the previous night while holding a guy by his side

"Yeah" Ramona answers

"Trippy" Wallace chuckles

"Well, if you see him, tell him I changed the locks" He says "and if you see me, remind me to change the locks"

"Your sugar daddy days are over?" Ramona jokingly asks

"For him, absolutely. For others, we'll see. The future is a mystery" He says as he leans in for a kiss with the guy he was holding by his side, that's when they get interrupted by Julie shoving a paper bag in his hands

"Here's your f*****g croissant!" She exclaims

"Ladies" Wallace adds before leaving with his 'partner'

"Ugh, so why would someone kidnap Scott? and why would they get my hopes up by making it seem like he was dead?" Julie asks

"I haven't figured that out yet" Ramona answers

"Yet? Don't tell me you're gonna try to find him" Julie says both surprised and disappointed

"I think I have to" Ramona points out

"Ramonaaa, I don't see how any of this is your responsibility. You went on one date. How good could it have been?" Julie keeps on trying to beat some sense into her friend

"Honestly. great" Ramona simply says with a smile

"Your date, with Scott Pilgrim? Yikes." Julie says giving up on trying to talk Ramona out of the idea

"Well, more power to you" Julie says leaning over the counter "So what's your next move, Columbo?"

"Well you know everyone, right?" Ramona says standing up, now face to face with Julie "I thought you could give me a rundown of the major characters in Scott's life"
