I am smoking in the hallway of the school while walking

Do you realize smoking is illegal? I heard Max's voice

Do you realize gay people used to get hanged, keep talking to me and we will go back to that time. I said

Whatever. She said

Skip

I was walking into the house and I went into the kitchen and saw Paul making crepes and mom, and Austin were watching

Hey. I said

Hey, bud, you want a crepe? Paul asked

Sure, as long as it comes with strawberries. I said

Of course. Paul said

I'm actually starting to warm up to Paul he makes mom happy

Hey, did you get high at school? Mom asked

Is that a trick question? I asked

No. She said

Then yes. I said

Birdie. Mom said

Okay, I'm sorry, it won't happen again. I said

I was just saying, don't get caught, I won't help you. Mom said

Okay. I said

Skip

It is the next night and I am in my room

I am wearing a gas mask and I'm shirtless while I'm spray painting on a canvas

I've been spray painting and just painting for hours and I also drew a few pictures

My upper body has paint on it in some spots

Damn, it's foggy in here, open up a window when you do that, man. I heard and I looked at the window and saw Abby

I took my gas mask off

Hey, what are you doing here? I asked

Nothing, I just got back from being at Brodie's. She said

Cool. I said

So what are you painting? She asked as she tried to see it but I turned it

Sorry, you can't see it. I said

Why, what is it? She asked

Something private. I said

Is it another bird? She asked

No, I don't just make birds. I said

Then let me see. She said

Fine. I said and I turned It around and she looked at it

Oh my god. She said

Do you hate it? I asked

No. She said

All day I have been drawling and painting pictures of Abby

I did them all with her new hair color

So you like it? I asked

I love it. She said

Good, but you can't keep this one. I said

Wait what? She asked

No, this masterpiece is going in that empty spot on my wall in front of my bed so I can see your face all night and day. I said

You can have one of the smaller ones I made. I said

You made more? She asked

I have a problem. I said

It's nice. She said

So what's the real reason you're here? I asked

Please don't tell anyone. She said

Who would I tell I don't exactly have friends and my sister won't even talk to me unless it's to call me crazy. I said

Just don't tell. She said

Okay. I said

I'm insecure about my body. She said

What? I asked

You heard me. She said

Why are you insecure about your body, you look amazing. I said

Not just my body my weight. She said

So what? I asked

Tonight Brodie basically told me I was heavy. She said

I walked over to her and I picked her up easily

That just tells me that Brodie is a weak dick. I said and she laughed and I put her down slowly

But seriously, don't listen to what other people think, be you, and if they make you feel any type of way, they aren't your friends. I said

How would you know, Mr. Loner? She asked

I laughed

I used to have friends, but when they found out how poor my family was they ditched me at a random party with people I barely knew. I said

Oh. She said

And since then I never trusted anyone else. I said

Do you trust me? She asked

Yeah. I said

You're not crazy, you just had a messed up life, and you probably do need to go to therapy for it, but no one should pressure you into it. Abby said

You do realize all your friends hate me because of what happened between us. I said

It's fine, they're all dicks anyway. She said and she put her hand on my face and she scratched my small beard

I missed you. She said

I missed you too. I said

Then she kissed me

I kissed back

Then I pulled away

Let's just hang out tonight, no sex. I said

I'd love that. She said
