We have been driving for about an hour and 45 minutes, It's almost 9 am now. We are nearing Port Huron Michigan. I'm resting my chin on my fist, with my elbow against the window ledge of the car door, looking out the window. A loud ringing jolts me out of my daydream; Genevieve's cell phone rings, lighting up with Gemma Harper's contact. Genevieve picks up the cell phone and answers Gemma Harper's call,

"Hey babe." Genevieve greets Gemma Harper enthusiastically.

"Hey, Gemma Harper!" I match Genevieve's enthusiasm.

"Hey, loves! We're all kind of bored of being in the car. Want to stop somewhere?" She asks Genevieve. Genevieve turns to me,

"Want to?" She asks me. I turn to look at Nova in the back to see she's sleeping. I advert my glance back to Genevieve and nod.

"Yeah, we are good to stop for a bit over here. Are we going to find a place to stay the night or just stop for a few hours?" Genevieve asks the other car,

"We found a park with trails off the road up here on Google, want to stop there and look around for a bit?" We hear Avery suggest. I love the sound of that plan.

"Yes, I am so down!" I speak up "Sounds cool." Genevieve nods towards me.

"Cool well send you the location. It's only about 15 minutes up this road." Avery concluded.

"Perfect! See you guys soon." Genevieve says before hanging up the phone. I turn around in my seat and reach out to shake Nova's shoulder. After a few shakes, she finally springs awake, she's always been difficult to wake up. She sits up to stretch.

"Rise and shine. We are stopping for a few hours to explore some trails." I inform her, and she smiles.

"Oh yay!" She exclaims. "How far is it?" She inquires.

"Only about 15 minutes Avery said," Genevieve tells her.

After 15 minutes of driving, we pull up to a small parking lot positioned in front of a field filled with people walking around; couples, friends, and family. The park has unbelievably green grass, big bushy trees, and windy gravel paths twisting around the grass park. We look to our right to see Leo pull up next to us, Gemma Harper parks Leo and hops out, Avery and Niko following suit, Avery's face in her phone. Genevieve and I hop out of Jazzy Blue to join the three of them outside, Nova joining us a few seconds later.

The sun is now at its peak in the sky, reflecting a beautiful light over the scenery surrounding us. It is hot out today, but a slight breeze keeps the heat from being unbearable. Avery looks up from her phone,

"It says there is a trail down that path over there," she points toward a path emerging from a forest, "It looks really pretty in these photos." Avery finishes. Niko looks over Avery's shoulder to see the pictures she was talking about.

"Okay, let's go!" Gemma Harper says enthusiastically.

We start towards the trail peeking out of the forest lining the park. Once we get to the start of the trail, Avery reaches out and grabs her sister's left hand and interlocks it with her right, they take off skipping ahead of us. I laugh with Niko as he reaches into his pocket to take out his cell phone. He positions it in front of his face, capturing a picture of the skipping duo. Just as Niko shoves his cell phone back into his pocket, Gemma Harper and Nova whiz by us, skipping hand in hand. Niko grabs my hand and starts to skip, dragging me forward, joining the group.

We all skip until we reach a bend in the trail. We slow to a walk, Avery and Genevieve leading the group, Gemma Harper and Nova walking side by side in front of me and Niko, all of us submerged in conversation with one another. The group slows to a stop,
