Waking up in the penthouse was a symphony of luxury and warmth. As my eyes fluttered open, I was greeted by the gentle touch of sunlight seeping through the expansive window. The golden rays painted a masterpiece on the walls, casting a tranquil ambiance in the room. The soft glow illuminated the lavish decor, creating a haven of opulence. The sunlight danced on the fine linens, creating a play of shadows that whispered of elegance.

I groaned as my body lay scantily covered by the sheets. Glancing beside me, I noticed the usual empty spot. I rose and made my way to the bathroom, where I followed my routine of showering and brushing my teeth.

A smile graced my face as I encountered my cat, who had awakened thanks to the shower's rhythmic sounds. His tail stood tall as he accompanied me into the kitchen, where I graciously served him his breakfast tuna. Watching him devour his meal brought a smile to my face. " Eat up"

Continuing my morning routine, I cooked my customary eggs and toast, followed by downing a full cup of protein powder. Returning to my room, I dressed for the gym before bidding my cat farewell.

Ensuring my door was securely locked, I double-checked it twice before leaving.

Every morning followed the familiar routine, an unchanging loop that, while enjoyable, left me yearning for some novelty. Exiting the elevator, I popped in my AirPods and strolled into the parking lot. Swinging my leg over my sleek black Yahama R1, I secured my fire-decorated helmet in place. And off I raced towards my regular gym.

I let out a sigh of frustration as another red light forced me to halt my speedy journey down the street. Impatiently waiting, I noticed a familiar h/c girl crossing the road. Her eyes were fixed intently on her phone as she hurried to the other side. Despite my annoyance, a smile crept onto my face as I watched her. Her lips moved silently, muttering to herself as she delved into whatever was on her screen.

This girl couldn't leave my mind. She existed worlds apart from where I stood in my life, far from my lifestyle. She was just an ordinary girl, attending school and doing typical, everyday things. There was no sense of danger trailing behind her; if anything, she seemed to seek it out. What a reckless girl.

I observed her enter a coffee shop, nearly smacking herself in the face, which amused me quietly. Lost in the moment, I hadn't realized the light had turned green until the impatient honk of a truck behind me brought me back. My smile faded as quickly as it had appeared. Casting one final glance at her, still engrossed in her phone while waiting in line, I accelerated away.

I slammed the glass of alcohol onto the table, throwing my head back with a heavy sigh. The number of shots I'd downed was a blur, much like the frequency of y/n's presence in my thoughts today. My focus had completely deserted me at the gym; my mind was consumed with her. I was fixated on something fresh, something I'd longed for my entire life.

My friends couldn't resist teasing me about what they dubbed my "silly high school crush." Mira flashed a knowing smile as she handed me water instead of another shot. "Why not ask her out?" she suggested casually. I blinked, my confusion evident. "Y/n. Invite her to dinner?" Lucy, beside me, straightened up, her gaze fixed on me, waiting for my response.

I shrugged. "Mira, she's not really the type to fit in with us." She nodded slowly. "But she seemed perfectly fine being part of it," she countered.

I chuckled dryly. "She's only scratched the surface," I replied. "The fights we have, they're nothing compared to what goes on behind the scenes. Our gang's battles in the streets involve more than just fists."

"Mira, she isn't cut out for this life. She's just a young college girl," Lucy remarked swiftly, and I couldn't help but sigh in response. As accurate as her observation was, I wished fervently for it to be otherwise.
