Injoy!

______

Prefecture of Miyagi, Sendai. [Train station at 1:20 P. M]

Satoru steps out of the train and stretches his limbs, whining exaggeratedly and looking around the station, visibly happy to be out of that tiny cabin. Following behind comes Suguru, who calmly gets out of the train and stretches his limbs as well, although being more subtitle than his friend, who seemed as if he was warming up for sparring.

The people who were walking around stared at the handsome, but weird, young alpha who cracked his back as if he was an old man.

Suguru, already done with his dramatic friend’s antics, snapped and said, “Stop exaggerating, walk a little and it will get better”

“But Suguru,” Satoru whined, “I felt ass flattening after 2 hours of sitting still”

“First,” Suguru frowned, “You would need something that can get flat, let’s be honest…”

Satoru gasped, “You take that back!”

“Face it, man,” Suguru sighed, “you’re built like a stick”

Satoru turned around, seething on his way to the station exit without waiting for Suguru.

“Good, we’re finally moving”, The black-haired alpha thought, heading to the place where they would stay during their mission.

After settling in the hotel, they finally could start analyzing the clues they had for the mission. Suguru busted into Satoru’s hotel room, folders in hand and without knocking, and made himself comfortable on one side of the bed before opening the folders and checking the papers. Satoru just sits at the other end of the bed, biting a lollipop while waiting for Suguru to summarize the important points of the reports, and then inform him about them.

“5 people had disappeared in 2 months, no trace left behind and in different dates,” Suguru reads from the report, “Their corpses were at display in Sendai City Wild Plants Garden, six months after what’s supposed by the authorities to be the first kidnapping at first hour of the morning, all of them surrounded by Lycoris radiata or commonly most known as ‘spider lily’. ”

Satoru raised a brow. If it were a mere murderer case, then it wouldn’t have assigned to sorcerers, much less two special grade ones. “That’s the news version, right?”

Suguru nodded, turning to the other page that contained the details not revealed to the public. “They took the bodies to the morgue to be examined for any clue of who could be the author, but… “

“But?” Satoru asked at the same time he unwrapped another candy.

“The bodies turned into piles of flowers, before they could even start with the external examination for the autopsy,” Suguru looked up from the papers to glare at Satoru, silently judging him, “Some sorcerers that examined the flowers confirmed they had residues of cursed energy.”

“So, those were baits and the actual bodies are still missing”, Satoru guessed, while ignoring the glare of his friend and putting the other candy in his mouth.

“We can suppose that, but we won’t know until we find them,” Suguru said, taking another folder.

Satoru focussed in a photo of the flowers. “Victims?”

“5 people,” Suguru repeated, “A middle-aged alpha, two middle schoolers, an elderly beta man and a young omega woman”

“So~ no apparent connection between them then.” Satoru pointed out after seeing the photos. “Who was the first to disappear?”
