Cupid Is Stupid CIS

   Chapter 3
Classes went by like a blur and soon it was time for lunch.

If I wasn't happy I'd be the saddest person alive. I made a beeline for our usual spot in the cafeteria, ignoring people's weird stares. Thinking back to how conscious I was on my first day here, I chuckled softly remembering how I squirmed under their hard gazes. I am way too confident for that now.

"Hey guys" I greeted the only sane people in this entire school.
" Hey, hey girl". pam and Ella said simultaneously. I always thought it was weird but you get used to it over the years.

"So, has anyone seen the new geography teacher?" Ella asked looking dreamy with both hands on her chin. " Yeah I did. Oh God he's so hot." " Ew". I said scrunching up my face in disgust at Pam's words. " I know right, if he asked me to sell everything I own just to be his, I won't even think twice." Shirley said getting my attention. Shirley was never one to think about guys. Sure she was beautiful, popular, outgoing and stuff. But she always let the guy do the thinking.
And I meant that in the plainest way possible."well I haven't seen him yet because -" my words didn't make it out fully as overly dramatic gasps erupted around the table." WHAT!?" " You poor thing" " I'm so  sorry for you". Were the words that cut me short. They each looked like I just told them my sick puppy just died. "What? No I meant I haven't seen him yet -" I was cut off yet again but by the bells instead. " Because I've got geography right now". I finally got to complete my sentence. "Oh?" Was all it took to know they finally understood.  " Bye guys" " bye mei; keep an eye out!" Pam said wiggling her brows. Gross. I thought. " Yeah no thanks" and with a shake of my head I left. Let's go meet the new teacher. This ought to be good...

Lunch rolled over and soon it was time to meet the ' talk of the Town' - Pam's words not mine. I walked up to the door and took in a large amount of air- I felt the need to thank you very much- turning the knob I was expecting someone like Channing tannum or something but I definitely wasn't expecting this!!. It felt as though all the air I took in merely seconds ago was knocked right out of my lungs. With shiny black hair - that seems to shine even inside- and deep blue eyes chisled features and high cheek bone. He was handsome.Just as I tried to look away his eyes landed on  (someone still standing at the door and probably drooling) yup y'all guessed it - me. I tried to look away but something about his eyes made me stay put. Not a single bone or muscle moved-more like could move but you know same diff. I mustered everything decent in me and forcefully tore my eyes to take a good look at the class. It was dead silent not because he was intimidating no it was because every pair of eyes was wide and every mouth agape. I didn't blame them I think I'm drooling!! I cleared my throat and made a beeline for the only available seat -  the back row. I looked up again at the ' teacher' up front to find him already staring at me with great interest and a... smirk?! The hell is he smirking for?! I thought as he cleared his throat and broke out with a 1000 watt smile. 'To get everyone's attention' as if his face didn't do it already. " Morning everybody!" With a seriously deep voice. Come on man  can't one thing be distorted?! It's either the whole class have gotten mute or they're in a trance. And this seems to fuel his ego which made his smile grow. How is that even possible?! " Okay my name's Calvin heart and I will be your substitute teacher for now. You can call me cal seeing I'm not that old." He continued with a laugh that had all the girls literally melting in their chairs. I swear I did too but we're not to discuss that.. no ma'am." Before we move on I'd like to know everybody's name think of this as a get together and we're old friends catching up." Everyone just numbly nod their heads. That's odd. " Great let's start with you."
