The dinner table was full with food and conversations between people. Though I must say that I wasn´t paying that much attention. Jeonghan was sitting in front of me and was having a conversation with my little brother Beomgyu. My little brother seemed to be enjoying himself. Loudly laughing and giggling when Jeonghan made a funny joke. Everyone seemed to get a long which was nice. When the maid´s were taking the left over food from our table Jeonghan stood up and invited me to a walk in our garden. My dad and his dad also excused themselves so that they could discuss things about our marriage.
When walking next to Jeonghan I expected to be uncomfortable but weirdly enough that wasn´t the case. “Are you excited for our marriage or not?” I looked down. Sometimes lying is easier than saying the truth but it this case I wanted to be honest with him. “Not really. I’m sure you’re a great person and all that but I already love someone else, I’d rather marry him. I’m sure you would understand that. Are you excited?” He just let out a relieved laugh. “Well to be honest, you’re really attractive and I’m sure you’re lovely but my father is definitely forcing me to marry you. But we’ll make it work. It's the best for our folks and you’ll be a Queen in the future so it’s good for our families too.” I just nodded. “Who is the lucky guy then?” I honestly didn’t want to talk about Joshua. It just felt weird to talk about the person I love to my future husband. I still did anyways. “His name is Joshua. He looks a lot like you, I think about the same age, same height and you two look pretty alike. I haven’t known him for a long time but we just clicked. He taught me a lot of things. I only see him once a week though and that’s kind off sad.” He smiled along with my story about Joshua. “He seems nice. Do your parents know?” I nodded and smiled with only one side of my mouth. “They do. Mom cares a little more than dad but neither care enough to let me marry Joshua.” He nodded. “Can I meet Joshua one day if we get married? I’d like to know who my wife likes so much.” I wouldn’t mind, they’re similar anyways.
After we got back from our walk our parents welcomed us to sit at our table. This times without our siblings. “We decided that you will get married in five weeks.” Jeonghan and I made eye contact and nodded. “You will be going to the Yoon castle tomorrow. You’ll stay there for a week so you can get to know Mr. Yoon and his family better and you can get used to their surroundings. Pack your stuff.”
