LAIA POV
When we reached Platform 9¾, Ginny and Mrs. Weasley came next. But Ron and Harry didn't come at all. Mr. Weasley tried to go out, but the barrier was closed. Mrs. Weasley convinced us to get onto the Hogwarts Express; they would take care of Ron and Harry and send them to Hogwarts, so we got on the Hogwarts Express.
But I know them—they will do something stupid. Heroic, yes, I'm not going to deny that, but stupid. Ginny and I tried to find a compartment; they were all full. Finally, we found one with Hermione and Neville and joined them. We explained why Ron and Harry didn't get through the barrier. We discussed various reasons, but couldn't come to a conclusion. I know Hermione is also worried that the boys are going to do something stupid, but I can't sit still anymore. I asked for an excuse, got out of the compartment, and roamed in the corridor until a pair of hands dragged me into an empty compartment. Then suddenly I was engulfed by a brown-haired boy—it was none other than him, Cedric.
"I missed you, Bravey. Never leave me alone."
"I missed you too, Cas, but don't you think it's a little too dramatic?" I missed him too, but I wasn't going to agree.
"Ahhh, I don't care whether you missed me or not. I missed you like hell. Let's just ask Dumbledore to let us use his room during the summer holidays. Let's stay at Hogwarts, okay?"
"Okay, then let's call him."
We looked at each other seriously, then broke into laughter on the ground. You know, it felt like meeting someone with the same wavelength, someone who understands you no matter what you say. It's what they call a high. We shared that kind of friendship—we didn't know how it started, but we knew we'd never regret meeting each other, even if the whole world did.
"What's wrong? You're worrying about something."
Another thing about Casanova: I can't hide anything from him. Last year when I met my gramps, I felt guilty and useless. Since I am, because I am useless, when Harry met Voldemort, I masked my emotions outside, but Cas caught me and made me convinced it's not a big deal. It's Harry's fight; let him be a hero.
At present, I explained how Harry and Ron couldn't get through the barrier. I patiently listened, then he said, "I don't know. I've never heard of it happening before. But Dumbledore will take care of it. He's not going to leave his hero not attending Hogwarts, so don't worry."
"I know, but you know Harry and Ron. They tend to do something stupid when they're together."
"Hey, I don't know about them, but we can't help but hope everything will be okay, so stop worrying. Tell me how your summer went."
Then we talked about how we spent our summer. I told him about my Muggle school, the Burrow, and how Ron and his brothers got Harry. Not about Dobby; it's not my place to tell about him, Flourish and Blotts, Malfoy.
"How dare he? Stupid Malfoy. No one in their right mind would abandon you."
"My father did."
"Laia—"
"Don't worry, Cas. I've never seen him. I just don't need him, but I'll never forgive him for abandoning my mum. She had to struggle a lot to bring me and Gabe up."
He hugged me and consoled me.
"Hey, calm down. When you see him, tell me. Let's cast some restricted spells on him. Let's punch him in the face, just like how you don't need him. I'm sure your mum doesn't need him either. She's strong. If she brought you up like this, I can say she doesn't need anyone else to take care of her."
"Yeah, she's strong, brave, and kind. You know, her blue cookies are the best."
"Blue? Why?"
"Once, my mum and Gabe got into a fight. Gabe said there's no blue food. Since then, my mum only makes blue food. You know, when the food is blue, it's heaven."
