The sunlight pierced through the flowing silk curtains, shining right on my 'eyelids'. My eyes flutter open to greet the morning sun. With a newfound smile on my face, I stretch my armas out as if I was atempting to touch the ceiling above me.
Flinging the fluffy covers off my body, I stand up flinching a little at the cold touch of the wooden floor. Grabbing my house robe off of my vanity chair, I slip it on.
My morning routine was quite short only really consisting of me washing my face, brushing my teeth, and putting on a simple wrapper to help me start the morning chores.
It only really takes me 20 minutes to fully clean my small cottage. So I have the rest of the day off for this weekend! So I had the bright idea to head on down to the bookshop.
I change my clothes. Starting off with a base layer of a chemise and drawers. I don't wear corset unlike all the other ladies, for I do not need to. I am nothing but bones, so It'd be pointless to do so. I end up just putting on a walking suit. Which consisted of a white ruffled blouse a light blue skirt and to tie it all together a dark blue fabric tied around my waist.
Lastly, I button up my brown boots, grab my coin purse and walk out my front door, not forgetting to lock it.
My boots clicked and clacked as I traveled across the stone sidewalk. Human and monsters alike roamed the streets, some chatting amongst each other. It was a Saturday so most people hurried on down to the shops to come pay a visit to the poor unfortunate souls who hadn't got the day off.
My venture soon came to a close as the store was right on my sights. A man loitering by the entrance graciously opened the door for me, which I responded with a nod and a 'thank you'.
Of course as soon as I enter the building I headed for the romance section. What can I say? I'm quite the hopeless romantic. But, as I'm searching a few books catch my attention. Reading the summaries they seemed like a good read. So I took them to the front counter to check them out and to see my payment for them.
While I passing over to the front, some feller bumped into me on accident, which made me drop my books onto the floor. As I was a little busy recovering from the incident, he profusely apologized,
"I am so sorry ma'am, I didn't mean dump into ya, I swear on it!"'𝐺𝑜𝑠ℎ ℎ𝑒'𝑠 𝑣𝑜𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡-" my swooning was interrupted when I made eye contact with him. I would have never guessed in a million years that I would run into him. "𝑁𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑒", most call him the prince of negativity. Seeing as he is the guardian of such feelings.
My soul dropped a little when I locked eye sockets with him. I usually try to steer clear of the man, cuz' of all the sayings of how awful he his, how mean, and rude he supposedly is.
Didn't think he had it in him to apologize to a lady. But, I suppose I've never truly met him in person. He had on his signature crown on, of course. But with a white button down shirt with a high collar. A quite nice purple detailed vest and a puffy tie adorned with a crescent moon clip on it. Fitted with black dress pants and finished it off with matching black shoes. Come to think of it, he was a lot more handsome than I had thought...
" Uh, ma'am are you gonna take the book or keep starring? "
I shook my head to wash away my thoughts, my skull burning from embarrassment. Taking the novels in hand I try to apologize back in a quick manner as to leave the situation faster.
"I'm so sorry mister! You just lovely on the eye is all! "
And I rush out of there not turning my cheek to see his reaction.
Golly, what a start to my weekend.
