This is where it starts to get a bit confusing.
The comparison of oneself to another individual(s) is not just a disadvantage to the self confidence of a person but also to society as well.
Though the link between those 2 may be weak but it is there.
Ofcourse there may be a few advantages of this but i'll leave it up to you to weigh up the pros and cons.
When you compare yourself to someone else, your work ethic increases because you want to be able to compare yourself to others on higher levels. However, When you compare yourself to another person. This individual or these individuals become your vision (refer back to (1 i) in part one). A rule in the brain will set and take place that states that "all my hard work must be implied only for comparison with this person and not for anything else".
Another idea :- if you have set a certain person as your vision and comparison (Remember we are not talking about influence and inspiration, we are talking about comparison) you might be comparing yourself to someone who doesnt work as hard as you and is less succescful than you are thus if he is not doing well at a certain thing, you will start to think you are doing something incorrectly. Why? ,because you have created a comparison between both of you that makes you blind to everything else. This is dangerous because if this individual continues his path towards failure then it might pull you away from the pathway you are taking towards succes because like we mentioned earlier, you will start thinking you are doing something wrong which might result in you making a change of plan in order to get a different outcome and when things don't go right after the change. You look for external things to blame but you sub-conciously know that the change you made along with your descions is what should be blamed.Remember dear reader that no one ever got anywhere comparing himself or herself to others. Being different and not following the crowd has allowed people to discover new ideas because they went further than the crowd, it has always been a route to success. Remember that if you love something so dearly and you work hard for it.. eventually.. no matter how long it takes.. you will perfect it.
