Chapter Two

Freddy groaned as he sat up. He looked at his alarm clock, he got up and stretched.

"Alright... Job time!" Freddy smiled and sat at his desk. He opened his laptop and searched for jobs he could work at. He was always a morning person, as Freddy looked for a job. He found something,

"Hm... How about... I mean... There's an opening at a nearby diner... Maybe I can check that place out when I get a response." Freddy signed up for it, it took longer than needed. But his phone number was in there so he could be informed when he can start to get interviewed. This diner was a good one, Freddy wasn't always good at the whole job thing. It was really his first time applying for one in awhile, his old roommate; Bonnie would go work while Freddy was staying home and cleaning, but ever since Freddy moved he had to get a job. Freddy sat and waited for a response, but he knew he wouldn't get one on the same exact day. Freddy sighed and went to his kitchen, he opened the fridge, nothing much was there, he was still really getting into the house really... Freddy then heard a knock on the door, Freddy fixed his hair quickly and walked to the door and opened it.

"Hello!" Freddy said, he looked up, it was that guy from before. Freddy's eyes widened,

"Oh, it's you!" Freddy smiled, he was actually happy to see the guy again. He thought he wouldn't,

"Oh shit... We must be neighbors, I just came over here to welcome some new neighbor... You must be the neighbor, but... We've already met before though, hm?" The guy said, Freddy smiled and held his hand out to the guy and he took it.

"I'm Monty, by the way." The guy said shaking Freddy's hand.

"I'm Freddy! Nice to meet you Monty!" Freddy smiled at Monty, Monty didn't smile back but Freddy knew Monty was grateful as well.

"Just thought I should check up on you, I saw moving trucks yesterday over here... If you need anything... My house is just a house down from yours." Monty said, Freddy nods.

"You got it!" Monty let go of Freddy's hand and turned away and walked off, his hands in his pockets. Freddy blushed a bit, he felt his face heating up as he shut the door.

"Calm down... Sure he looks handsome, and... Hot... B-but I don't even know if he's already in a relationship!" Freddy groaned. Freddy did like Monty, but he didn't even know anything about him yet.

Later that day, Freddy got a reply from the diner he signed up for. The reply came faster than expected, probably because this town wasn't so big so there wouldn't be that many people signing up. The reply just said that they were willing to see Freddy today, Freddy stood up and grabbed his bag and put on his jacket before leaving the house. Freddy began to walk to the diner, Freddy started to wonder if he should even get a car to begin with.

When Freddy arrived to the diner, he was greeted by a man. He had brown hair, glasses, greenish-blue eyes and his skin was tanned. Freddy waved hello, the man smiled.

"Hey there! You need anything?"

"Oh! No I'm fine, I'm actually the guy who signed up to work here? You guys said you could meet me today!" Freddy said, the man thought for a moment but then spoke.

"Oh! Right, right! Freddy, right? Well, we will get you here and working before you know it! But we have to interview you obviously. I'm the owner of this amazing establishment!" The man said,

"I'm Liam, nice to meet you!" He continued, Freddy reached his hand over and shook Liam's hand smiling. Liam then led Freddy to his office and Freddy sat down in a chair as Liam went behind his desk and sat down.

"Let's start off simple... Do you have experience with work at all?" Liam asked, Freddy nods.

"No, but I do know how to cook and I have experience in some work since sometimes I have to shift in for my friend, Bonnie whenever he was sick." Freddy explained. Liam nodded and write something down, continuing on, he asked more questions and Freddy answered then all truthfully. And after a little while Liam stood up and held his hand out to Freddy.

"Welcome to your new job Freddy! You'll be working as a waiter and server, not too difficult!" Freddy immediately smiled and shook Liam's hand.

"I'm glad you could have me!" Freddy said, Liam have him a smile.

"You'll start work tomorrow, uniforms are in the employees only room in back in a locker, yours will be marked with your name tomorrow so it should be easy to find. If you have any issues about your job don't be afraid to ask me or someone else working!" Liam smiled as Freddy gave a nod.

"You got it boss! See you tomorrow!" Freddy smiled and left the diner. Freddy was happy to get a job, he'd be able to meet new people and even make some new friends.

When Freddy was walking home, he saw someone, it was Monty. Freddy was about to greet him until, he saw Monty following this guy.

"That's weird..." Freddy said to himself. Freddy thought about following him, but he was also hesitant to. Freddy shook his head,

"He's probably just going the same direction as that guy as a coincidence... This town is small... Besides, I shouldn't barge into Monty's business." Freddy sighed and kept walking home, turning the corner till he arrived home. When he did he opened his front door and walked in and locked it behind him. You could never be too careful... Freddy felt a pang of anxiousness, but he just brushed it off and sat on the couch and just spent the rest of his day relaxing, but still wondering if Monty had some business with that guy he was possibly following...

"Nah, it's nothing important." Freddy reassured himself, but the thought was still in his head rent free...
