beep beep beep

The alarm clock read 6:30AM but I could barely see the time because of how tired I was. I stretch my arms up and they bump in the headboard on my bed, I slowly get up and drag myself to the bathroom to wash my face. Then i walk into kitchen and made myself cereal that was already sitting out on the counter. I make my bowl and then i realize that there is no milk left in the fridge so I skip breakfast.

At this point I knew I was going to have bad day, everything is going to turn out wrong for me. I put on sweatshirt and jeans and I barely brushed my hair, then I walked outside and then down the street to my bus stop. When my head was to the ground, not wanting to look at anybody, the bus arrives, the bus almost looked sad too. I get on the bus, trying not to make eye contact, then I sit down next to Oliver and he flashes me a big smile, there is no way that I couldn't smile back. Was I being too creepy?

"Hey!" He said very excited, like when a child heard the ice cream truck.

"Hey," I grumbled.

"You feeling alright, you look flushed," he said as he was observing my face, which made me pretty uncomfortable.

"Yeah, yeah, just had a bad morning," I said trying not to look at him because if i do then I will smile and I'm not in the mood to smile.

"You don't seem alright Alice, talk to me," he said, leaning in really close. I backed up a bit, not feeling the whole being close to anybody right now, physically.

"I told you I'm fine," I hissed. He backed away from me as if he had seen a wild animal. I wasn't that harsh was I? I regret saying that, I hope he's not too mad at me.

Don't worry girl, I'll take care of this

*Alices POV*

We show up at the school, and everybody is dragging along, looking like they have been in school for a whole year when it is only the second day. A group of girls started walking up to Oliver and I at the entrance of the school. There was a girl walking faster than the others and she looked determined to do something, she had dark curly hair, a short mini skirt, hoop earrings and she smacked her gum like it was what she lived for.

"Look who it is, Oliver and this ugly ass girl," she said rubbing her hand against my cheek.

"Get out of here Shannon," Oliver said trying to push her out of the way.

"Baby I promise I'll make it up to you, i'll do anything, i'll even do this," and as soon as she said it I looked right at her and all I saw was a fist approaching my face at full speed. I grabbed her stiff curly hair and twisted it and she screamed. Then she flashed me angry eyes and grabbed my neck and held as tight as she could. Choking, I managed to take my foot and kick her knee backwards causing her to scream in agonizing pain. With her knee looking broken, I spit on her hollow body and walked away with my chin high.

Her friends faces in shock that I had beat their leader, they don't approach me, or try to fight me to get revenge. They just stood in the back and watched, scared for their lives.

"What was that?!" Oliver yelled.

"What do you mean? Aren't you happy I did that," I asked sarcastically. Then he gave me this look of disappointment, and I felt bad, I had no idea what I had done.

"Its not you, I'm upset because if it were not for me then you wouldn't have gotten hurt, and i should have warned you about her, I'm sorry," he said and then walked away. Leaving me here empty and confused.
