Chapter 5

Clary wakes up the next day. Izzy and Michelle are sitting on the edge of her bed. Painting each other's nails and laughing. Izzy's are neon pink and Michelle's are navy blue. Clary slowly sits up because she's dizzy. When she is fully sitting up she asks Where is her mom. Michelle rolls her eyes Jocelyn is her mom too. No matter how much Jocelyn hates her. She gave birth to her so she's her mom. Izzy gives Michelle a look of sympathy. Michelle told her all about how her mother and sister treats her. If she had a choice she would have stopped Jace saving Clary. No matter how bad that sounds, Clary treats her sister so bad that she wanted to die. And what makes matters worse her own mother treated her the same and encouraged Clary to slap her sister when she makes mistakes. She would have left Clary to die. She made her soul sister want to die! If Michelle died her brother Alec, Michelle's soulmate would be a shell of himself. Soulmates can't live without the other. If one dies it will Tear their soul in half. And yes Soulmates share a soul.
Now let's get back to the story!
Jace walks in and explains what is going on.
" All the legends are true, we're shadow hunters, we protect humans from the demons. The people you saw murdered at the club weren't humans, they were shape-shifting demons."

" I'm not interested in being apart of your supernatural fight club!" Clary Yells at Jace.
Jace, Izzy and Michelle roll their eyes. All three of them hate her. Mostly Jace and Izzy. Jace overheard what Clary and Her Mother did to his soul- sister.
" I just want to find my mom!"
" So please help me!" Izzy and Jace share a look they will only do this for their soul sister, so she can get closure and find out why her mom treated her the way she did."
" You Mean our mom." Michelle whispers under her breath. Clary doesn't consider Michelle her sister. In Clary's mind they aren't sisters and her mom took her in.
