❝𝑯𝑰 ! 𝑴𝒀 𝑵𝑨𝑴𝑬'𝑺 𝑳𝑶𝑹𝑬𝑳𝑬𝑰 𝑱𝑨𝑪𝑲𝑺𝑶𝑵, but you can call me Rory. You know those stories about those greek gods and goddess. Well, you probably haven't heard the side stories of those gods."

"See, sometimes, when the gods feel like being little whores, they travel down to the mortal world, find someone to mate with, have a kid, leave said kid until they go to a camp for kids like them and choose if they want to claim their kid or not. Those kids are called half bloods, or demigods."

"From mortal eyes, being a half blood sounds amazing and super fun. But from half blood eyes, being a half blood is death, neglect, and a cycle. Being a half blood was not fun nor easy. Unfortunately for me, I have to be a prodigy of a greek god. And you think my mother would learn for the first time of a neglectful father being before she had another kid with the same god."

"At least one of was lucky when it came to the real world. My brother, Percy, got the luckier side when it came to moving so much from our differences, well as much luck you can get from being bullied. He found his person. Life was somewhat good, until it came to finding out the truth. Well only finding the truth when a monster from that kind of world randomly comes at you."

"That's what happened to my brother at the museum on a field trip today, and I just had to be the witness of a flying monster trying to kill my brother. Twice.

❝ 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐈 Jackson, please report to the headmasters office. Lorelei Jackson, please report to the headmasters office. ❞ A raspy voice spoke through the intercom of Yancy Academy.

Lorelei's pencil snapped, feeling the eyes pry on her as she looked up, her teacher looking at her through her glasses, looking up from her book as she nodded her head her head to the door.

Lorelei closed her notebook, quickly putting into her backpack as she closed her test, leaving it on her desk as she stood up, quickly exiting the classroom.

As her white converse rubbed against the floors of the halls, Lorelei's blonde hair that was tied up in a half up half down updo, and tugging at the sleeves of her Yancy sweatshirt shirt and her black skirt flowing with each step as she walked up the stairs of the school.

Lorelei was hoping it wasn't anything bad, or nothing involving Percy. She knew he went on a field trip to the museum today so she prayed to the gods that it had nothing to do with that.

When Lorelei arrived to the headmasters office, she saw Grover Underwoood, Percy's best friend, walk out of the room, her mind starting to race with thoughts.

"Hey Rory." Grover smiled, waving slightly at the taller girl.

"Grover, what happened?" Rory asked, looking the door momentarily before looking back at Grover, seeing his smile apologetically.

"Something happened at the museum." Grover said, but couldn't finish because the front lady, Ms. Dorris, called at Rory.

"Ms. Jackson, the headmaster is waiting for you." Ms. Dorris said, causing the girl to nod at her before she gave Grover one last glance, walking into the office.

"You called me?" She said, seeing as Percy turned to look at her, giving her an apologetic smile before turning back.

"Yes. Take a seat, please, Ms. Jackson." the headmaster said, Rory sitting down in the seat that was occupied by Grover moments ago.
