the person didn't specify which eating disorder so I'm going to make sapnap have Orthorexia and Dream have bulimia.

Eating disorder: any of a range of mental conditions in which there is a persistent disturbance of eating behaviour and impairment of physical or mental health

Orthorexia: Orthorexia refers to an unhealthy obsession with eating "pure" food.As with other eating disorders, the eating behaviour involved – "healthy" or "clean" eating in this case – is used to cope with negative thoughts and feelings, or to feel in control. Someone using food in this way might feel extremely anxious or guilty if they eat food they feel is unhealthy.

Bulimia: People with bulimia are caught in a cycle of eating large quantities of food (called bingeing), and then trying to compensate for that overeating by vomiting, taking laxatives or diuretics, fasting, or exercising excessively (called purging).

TW/Cw: Eating disorder, purging, harmful thoughts
(Please let me know if I missed any!)

This is an awareness chapter!! I do not wish to offend anyone!

Dream and Sapnap.

Dream has been struggling with Bulimia for years now, especially since he lost over 300 pounds. You see, 7 years ago he weighed over 500 pounds and a photo of him was leaked. The amount of hate and assumptions flooded in, which made Dream feel disgusting. He hadn't had issues with his weight or appearance before that, but after that his weight got to him more. He began to excessively work out, and threw up whatever food he ate. It was kind of easy to hide, especially after he moved out of his parents house.

It became a common thing for Dream, to excessively eat large amounts of food and then throw it all up, fast for a while (maybe a week or so) or exercise excessively and then repeat the process.

He hid it well when Sapnap moved in with him, at least he thought he did. Sapnap knew what was going on, and at first it confused him but he then realised that Sapnap was also struggling with an eating disorder.

Sapnap struggles with orthorexia. He had also been struggling with it for years, especially since he had been judged in real life and then online because of his looks. Sapnap was obsessed with eating "pure food" or "healthy foods" to combat the detrimental thoughts that ran through his head. Because of this, he wouldn't really eat fast food, but instead lots of fruit and veg, not really eating anything else as he was worried about the effects it would have on his body.

Because of the two's similar struggles (as in both having eating disorders) they understood each other on an equal level, and tried their best to help each other whenever they could. Sapnap has basically come out of his habits, but still had bad days as anyone does. Dream on the other hand, still fully struggles with his disorder. The bad days have become more frequent and he doesn't know if he'll ever get out of this constant loop.
