Kyra and Vic left shortly after, whereas Alessia had opted into staying for longer (probably as she's also close with Leah), which is what leads us to now.

I hear a knock on the door, causing my head to shoot up and for me to limp over to the door, opening it before stepping outside.

"Ember! Thank you again for -"

"Jorge, don't thank me for taking my own filho in if he doesn't want to see my sister!" I hiss at him, causing him to roll his eyes at me.

"He's starting to learn Portuguese, so enough with the filho shit, okay?" He tells me, making me nod as Enzo does grabby hands to me.

I lean down and pick him up, hugging him as Jorge hands me all of his things before saying goodbye.

Once he's gone, I knock on the front door again, causing Leah to come and open it.

"Auntie Leah!" Enzo shouts as he sees Leah, instantly trying to free himself from my grip and to Leah.

Leah laughs and instantly takes Enzo from me, carrying him inside as I carry his bag in and to the spare room (which is technically Enzo's room).

When I come out of the room, I notice Leah tickling Enzo, making me smile.

Alessia comes and stands behind me, wrapping her arms around my waist and resting her chin on my shoulder whilst looking at Leah as well.

"Your nephew?" Alessia questions me, causing me to smile and nod. "He's cute but seems to prefer Leah over you."

"Leah! Stop! Save me, Ember!" He shouts, making me smile and walk over to Leah, pulling her off of him.

He springs up instantly and sees Alessia, instantly darting to hide behind her.

"Protect me!" He begs Alessia as he clutches onto her leg, making the forward smile.

"Emi, let go of me!" Leah shouts whilst trying to get my hands off of her. I just stand there tightening my grip on her, which in turn makes her bite my arm.

"Leah what the fuck!" I shout at my best friend as she darts across the room to get to where Enzo and Alessia are.

Enzo just continues to hold onto Alessia's leg for protection.

As I get up, I feel my knee buckle under me, causing me to yelp in pain.

"Emi!" Leah shouts as she watches me crumble to the floor, hissing in pain.

The first person by my side is Enzo, as he runs across the room to come and hug me.

"I'm good, I'm good." I say whilst gritting my teeth, Leah immediately darting to my side to help me up. Enzo retreats away from me in the process and back over to Alessia, silently asking her to pick him up.

Alessia does so, looking over at me and Leah with a frown on her face before Enzo asks her to go and play in his room, Alessia nodding before taking him there.

Leah takes me over to the sofa, immediately telling me to rest my leg, which is what I do before cuddling into my side and resting her head on my shoulder.

"Does Alessia..."

"No." I say, cutting Leah off, not wanting her to ask the question I know she's going to ask.

"How long is he staying here?"

"Only until after Lucy's match, he didn't want to go to Barcelona." I tell Leah, making her nod.

After a while, Alessia comes back out of Enzo's room (Leah had gone to check on the pair a few times) with a smile on her face.

"He's asleep, I read him some of Gobbolino the witch's cat as that's what he said you were reading him here." Alessia says as she drops onto the sofa next to Leah, who is still cuddled into my side.
