"Her beauty was mesmerising, she glittered like gold, and I was caught in a trance. "
"And the problem is?"
"One night she slept over, the next morning, all expensive things, including my credit cards were gone."
"Damn she got you good. What are you...

The sun rays seeped through the opened curtain and bounced of Akilina's face while she stirred awake. She tossed and turned, getting comfortable in the soft, cloud-like bed she laid on, while trying to shield her face from the sun rays with the silk blanket. Her eyes slowly opened, and she took in her surroundings.

The chandelier in front of her, the designs on the wall, the bedside lamp, and even the pillows on the bed; they all screamed crazy rich. The room was simple, at the same time luxurious. Akilina wasn't poor but she wasn't rich either. She had never seen such a luxurious room.
Suddenly realizing she didn't go to sleep on such a dreamy bed, or in such a grand room, she got out immediately, almost falling face first because of the sudden action. Escape- was all her mind screamed. She had woken up in a strange environment, what else was she supposed to think of. Her brain refused to function properly. She noticed the windows were unlocked and decide to jump even if it meant breaking a few bones. As she tried to jump, she heard a voice behind her.
"It seems in times of confusion and uncertainty; your sense of reasoning flies out the window just like you were about to." Akilina turned to the voice, to find out it was a woman.
"Always try the door first," she said, walking inside and shutting the door. "I hope the room is to your satisfaction?"
"It is, thank you," she sighed. "How did I get here?" Akilina inquired.
"Well, I was taking a late-night stroll, in the rain- because I love it- through the park and I saw you asleep on a bench. It was raining and i decided to help. I saw myself in you," she glanced round the room. "I had been through some dark time but here i am. Some might not be proud of the 'how' but at least I'm here." her focus now on Akilina. "Why not freshen up and join me for breakfast. there are cloths and toiletries in the bathroom, which is to your left."

Akilina was mesmerised by the sight of the room, and she was overwhelmed. She gasped upon seeing her reflection in the mirror. Her clothes were dirty, her hair unkept and over the place. After her bath, she found some clothes, a pair of joggers and a baggy shirt. Though there were more flashy clothes, comfortability always came first for Akilina.
She made her way to the dining area, taking time to admire the elegance of the house. From the decorations to the lighting. The house was beautiful but awfully silent. Could this woman be the only one in this house? she thought to herself.
"Your house is beautiful," she said once she found her way to the dining area. "Can I please get a job? I'm in deep need of it." she asked.
"Instead of a job, I'll show you how to make your own money. Now come and eat".
Akilina's stomach growled as if on que. While eating, Akilina was about to delve into her past and why she was on the bench, basically her whole life story.
"SHH," She interjected. "I don't really care about your past and you shouldn't let it hold you down. The past is in the past, leave in the present."
"My name is Ivy by the way, what's yours?"
"Akilina" she responded.
"Okay Aki. Eat up, we have a lot of work to do. No time to waste."
"Huh? Which work?"
"I'm going to show you the ways of a Con Artist" she said with a smile.
