Gabrielle "Gabi" Briar moved to New Jersey from Connecticut after a fallout with her parents. Being from a prominent family in New England meant she had a lot of perfection to live up to, but she never could amount to her parents' expectations for her. Her move to a new state is meant to welcome a fresh start, away from her parents, where she can start to chase her dreams of being a photographer without all the expectations weighing her down. One night after a long day of work, she and her roommate, Celine, take a trip to the bar for a few drinks and to have a little fun. Little did Gabi know that she would be meeting the man who would change her life for the better.

Nico Hischier, a professional hockey player, was drafted to the New Jersey Devils at just 18 years old as the number one overall draft pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. He's been having the time of his life for a man still at the very beginning of his career. After a against the Philadelphia Flyers, a few of the guys head to a local bar to celebrate their win. Walking into the bar that night, Nico had no idea that he'd be meeting a girl who would turn his world upside down in all the best ways possible.
