The sun this morning is extra bright coming through my windows. Stretching my arms in the air, I open my eyes, squinting to adjust to the brightness. Flashes of the date last night filled my mind, causing a stupid smile to spill onto my face. The events of the night before feel like a dream. It was the first and only date I'd ever been on, but the fact that Nico worked hard to put it all together made it all the more special. With one final stretch, I reach out to my nightstand for my phone. Checking the time I see a cute good morning from Nico, I can't believe this is real.

Picking up the spare pillow next to me, I put it over my face practically squealing like a little schoolgirl. Rapid footsteps make their way towards my room, and in one swift motion, Celine runs into my room with a baseball bat. "Gabs, what happened? Where's the danger?" Looking at Celi, my eyes squint in confusion as to where that bat even came from. "Celi, where did that come from?" Pointing to the bat, I ignore her questions, more curious as to where she'd pulled it out from. Never once had I seen that bat anywhere in the apartment before this moment.

"Now that is none of your concern. Now what are we squealing if there's no danger?" She puts down the bat by the door, both of us laughing at her brushing off my question about the bat. Walking up the end of the bed she takes a seat, facing me. Realization crosses her face, "Does this possibly have something to do with a certain captain and a little date? Tell me everything!" Celine scoots closer to me, crossing her legs and putting her chin in her hands.

"Okay, so Nico surprised me with a picnic date at a pond in a nice park. Celine, it was all so beautiful! We were there just in time for sunset and he set up all these string lights on a few of the trees. He even took time to make chocolate-covered strawberries." Hitting her knee rapidly in excitement, I can't help the permanent smile that comes to my face. "That's not even the best part... WE KISSED!" Now we both found ourselves squealing, jumping up and down.

The feelings I felt during our kiss and even what I'm feeling now feel overwhelming but in the best way possible. Nothing else in my life, at least up until this point, has amounted to anything like the kiss last night did. Looking into his deep brown eyes after the kiss, I could tell that we'd both felt the same thing. It was almost like an electric shock had coursed through the both of us once our lips connected.

"Gabi, I'm so happy for you! Does that mean you guys are together? Like officially?" Freezing, I feel my smile drop. "Oh my god we're both so stupid. We didn't even talk about that." Nico and I were in such a daze after the kiss that we didn't stop to think or talk about what was coming next.

"Why don't you talk to him about it today? If he's free I mean. Since the date went so well, you guys need to sort this out to keep moving forward." Nodding my head in agreement, while picking up my phone, I text Nico. We agree to go out to grab some lunch together and talk, which causes my heart to skip a beat in excitement at the fact that I get to see him later. A few hours later, I got a text from Nico telling me his downstairs. Making it to the door I let Celine know I'm going out with Nico for lunch, but that I'll be back later.

Waking up this morning, the events from the night before felt surreal. I spent a few long minutes just soaking in how Gabi and I felt the same way for each other. Surprisingly, by the time I woke up at seven in the morning, the guys had already blown up my phone with messages asking about the date, grasping for any details I could give them. Answering their questions, they progressively became more hyped. Once their messages become more frequent, I stop responding hoping they'll cool down.

Getting up and ready, I got dressed to head over to the gym for a while. On the drive there, I get a joint Facetime call from Jesper and Jack.
