I, Knight Cyran, stood at the entrance of the portal, my heart pounding with determination. The swirling vortex before me seemed to beckon, promising both danger and glory. I tightened my grip on my greatsword, Valor, feeling its weight and power in my hands. This was the moment I had trained for, the moment I would face the endless humanoid monsters that threatened to invade the Kingdom Gem Castle.
As I prepared to step into the unknown, a voice emerged from the darkness. It was a voice unlike any I had ever heard before, seductive and alluring. I turned my gaze towards the source, my eyes widening at the sight before me. A woman stood there, her skin as white as snow, her hair a striking white-blue, and her eyes a dark, inverted shade. Her overwhelming aura filled the air, making it hard to breathe.
She spoke with a voice that dripped with seduction, acknowledging my unbending will and bravery. She offered me a choice, to betray my world and become her personal guard. But I knew the consequences of such a decision. I knew that if I were to accept, the portal would forever be open, allowing her army to invade my beloved kingdom.
Raising Valor, I pointed it at her face, my voice filled with determination. "I, Knight Cyran, will guard this path. I promise you that neither your army nor you will ever use this portal connected to my world!" I struck my greatsword into the ground, holding it with both hands, a symbol of my unwavering resolve. "I would rather perish while protecting my beloved Kingdom Gem Castle until my last breath."
She laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the darkness. But her laughter was short-lived, replaced by a glare filled with malice. She smiled, her words laced with a sinister promise. "Then prepare yourself and become ashes with your precious kingdom."
Without hesitation, the endless humanoid monsters charged towards me. Their numbers seemed infinite, a never-ending tide of darkness. But I stood my ground, swinging Valor with all my might, slashing and stabbing at the creatures that dared to approach. The clash of steel against flesh filled the air, the battle cries of both sides echoing through the portal.
Time seemed to blur as I fought, losing count of the enemies I slayed. Was it hundreds? Thousands? Millions? It didn't matter. All that mattered was my unwavering determination to protect my kingdom, to keep the darkness at bay.
Finally, the leader of the humanoid monsters halted her army. They began to retreat, disappearing back into the darkness from whence they came. Before leaving, she turned to me, her eyes filled with a mix of hatred and determination. "I retreat for now, but I will be back with a stronger army that you will never be able to defeat alone, like you did just now."
With those words, she vanished into the darkness, leaving me alone in the portal. I knew my duty was not yet complete. I had to return to my world, to the Kingdom Gem Castle that I had sworn to protect.
As I stepped out of the portal, I was greeted by a sight that took my breath away. Twenty years had passed since I had entered the portal, and in that time, the kingdom had flourished. A large number of soldiers and knights stood before me, their faces filled with admiration and respect.
Amidst the crowd, I spotted King Ethan, his regal figure moving towards me with a smile on his face. He grabbed my hand and tapped my shoulder, his voice filled with gratitude. "This is a debt of mine that can never be repaid. Well done, Knight Cyran!"
I looked around at the kingdom I had fought so hard to protect, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. But deep down, I knew that the battle was far from over. The leader of the humanoid monsters had promised to return, and I would be ready. I would continue to stand as the shield of the Kingdom Gem Castle, facing any threat that dared to invade our lands.
