"Baba Yaga...did we really have to...HIKE to the spot?" Briar groaned, breathing heavily.

"We've been walking for TWO HOURS. Can we at least take a break?" Ashlyn sighed in agreement with Briar.

Baba Yaga glanced over to Giles and Milton, before turning back to the students and announcing, "Fine. five minute break."

All the students dropped to the ground in unison, exhausted.

"We have plenty of horses at the school. Why couldn't we just take them?" Apple groaned, leaning on Raven's shoulder as they sat on a nearby log.

"I don't know. Cerise is having a field day with this though." Raven chuckled, looking over to Cerise, who was widely grinning and sprinting between the nearby trees.

Apple laughed with Raven, as she pulled a water bottle out of her bag. She was getting quite a few questioning stares, considering she was wearing Raven's clothes.

Briar walked over to the two, sitting next to Apple. "Never thought you would be caught dead wearing anything darker than red." She chuckled, pointing to the black plaid jacket and plum-colored tank top Apple had been wearing.

"Shut up." Apple laughed, playfully punching Briar's shoulder. The three laughed together for a moment.

The trio observed the landscape of the woods for a few minutes, looking up at the rays of sun shining down between the leaves on the trees.

After a while, Baba Yaga yelled out to the students, "Break is over! Let's get moving!"

The students all loudly groaned, picking themselves up again. Apple stood up, taking Raven's hands and hauling her up with her. Briar ran back to join Ashlyn and Hunter at the front of the crowd, while Apple and Raven stayed towards the back. They interlaced their hands as they started moving with the swarm of students again.

About thirty painful minutes later, the students finally reached the spot. It was HUGE, and surrounded by a variety of trees, while many different types of birds watched the students from their nests.

"Apple? Madeline?" Baba Yaga yelled out, as Apple and Maddie came to the front of the group.

"Seeing as you two are the student council co-presidents, you are in charge of setting up tents"

"ALL of them?! But there are like, 100 tents! It's gonna take us forever after to set all of them up!!" Apple gasped, staring at her.

"Then you two better get started."

Maddie followed with a loud "Yay!", having a very different opinion about the situation than Apple.

The two grabbed the bags from Baba Yaga, as she began handing out assignments to all of the other students.

~many long and tedious hours later~

"Did I do this right?"

Raven had been setting up lanterns at the edges of the campsite, and she was getting a little confused as to how to put the lightbulbs in. She didn't even know if she had done it right with the past few she set up at the other corners of the space.

Raven stood up, looking down at the lantern sitting on the ground and staring at it to see if she did everything right.

While she was investigating the lantern, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist from behind her, catching her in a warm hug.

Raven turned around, discovering Apple leaning her forehead onto Raven's shoulder. "Hey, Apple." She chuckled.

"Kill me"

"Woah. Is everything ok?" Raven asked, still slightly smiling at her.

Apple put her head up, abruptly stating; "My back has never hurt more in my entire life, Maddie can barely hold a hammer the right way, and Baba Yaga will NOT stop breathing down my neck."

"At least you're done now, right?"

"In a way. Maddie said she would finish up the last few. But I bet Headmaster Grimm is probably gonna be barking commands at me soon enough." Apple tightened her grip around Raven's waist, clearly worn out.

Raven turned towards Apple, placing one hand on Apple's cheek while the other tightly gripped her hand.

"Hey, Apple! How do you hold the stake?"

The pair turned both of their heads towards Maddie, who was holding both the stake and the hammer upside down.

"Maddie! Wait! Don't do anything!" Apple called out, running in Maddie's direction.

Raven stifled a laugh, turning back to her own job.

"...yeah that's definitely not right"
