The birds chirped out his window as he awoke from his bed. He felt like crap. After tossing and turning all night, he finally managed to get into bed. He walked to his closet and pulled out a green hoodie, a tee shirt, and a pair of sweatpants. He took off his shirt and tossed it into a basket. He looked around the room to see the others were gone. He was about to grab the shirt when he heard a knock on his door. He walked over to the door and opened it. As he started to open the door, he felt the person outside pushing to get in. He flew backward as the door opened. There was so much force from someone not as big as he was. As the door opened, she toppled on top of him. She started to get off of him but felt a squeeze on her chest. Both their faces turned red as they processed the position they were in. She got up, blushing, then helped him up. They didn't look at each other for a brief moment. After a moment of awkward silence, she finally spoke up.
"You wanna go get some breakfast?" she asked in a wavy voice, obviously still embarrassed. He looked at her, his face still red, with a confused expression. Why was she inviting only him? Where were the others? Does she know he broke the toaster the other day? Is it just a friendly gesture? He felt like he had to say yes to find out why.
"Sure," he replied. She smiled as her face started to return to normal. It got red again as she realized he was shirtless. She turned and walked into the hallway so he could change clothes. After changing, he met up with her in the hallway. They began walking down the hall.

The reborn ninja continued to fidget with his lightning powers as they entered an abandoned tunnel. He looked around to see train tracks on the ground and moss all over the walls. It must have been the old subway line. He was taken to the door on the side of the tunnel. The white-haired girl opened the door and walked through. The cloaked man motioned him inside and followed him from behind.
He looked around, astonished at the amount of technology they had around. It felt familiar to him, like it was salvaged from a certain wreckage. From around the corner came another figure. They were dressed in all-black leather with a black biker's helmet on. They spoke no words, but he could feel a gaze of hatred. He was motioned over to a closet.
"Let's get you out of those crappy clothes you're in and find you a better style. You can have anything in this closet you would like," the white-haired girl said. He nodded and walked into the closet.---
The two of them sat at the bar in a diner waiting for their food. He hadn't been to this restaurant in forever, not since his mother would take him there when he was a young kid. He looked around as he was astonished with how little it changed for as long as it had been. He looked in her direction to see her staring at him. She had her elbow on the counter, with her hand supporting her head. It was almost like she was in a trance. He called her name confused.
"Nya?" He asked. She shook her head like she was snapping back to reality. He couldn't imagine what she could have been thinking of to be that deep of a trance.
"Yeah?" She responded.
"Why did you invite only me here?" he asked. It felt weird, being just the two of them. It was almost like a... nah, it couldn't have been. There was no way.
"Because I wanted food, someone broke the toaster, and I didn't want to go alone." She told him. That's fair, he thought to himself. He kinda felt disappointed in her response though. He kinda had wished it was what he thought. He couldn't pinpoint why he was disappointed, but he was. He had a weird feeling in his gut, a feeling he started to get since the others went to The First Realm.
The Chef put their food in front of them. He looked over at her food to see that she had. She had pancakes and bacon, just like him. Her pancakes were shaped like dragon heads, a familiar-looking shape. He looked at the pancakes he got, they were shaped like phoenix, another familiar shape.
"I'm gonna use the restroom real quick," he said. She nodded and he rushed over to the restroom.
