AKITO'S POV (10 years old)
It had been a week since my father's passing, and my mother had shut herself into her room, leaving me feeling lonely once again. The absence of my father weighed heavily on my young heart. However, amidst the shadows, a glimmer of light appeared when I first saw her.
Y/n, with her h/c hair, s/c skin, and a personality that perfectly complemented her appearance, entered my world. Unlike anyone else, she treated me with kindness, alleviating the loneliness that threatened to consume me.
Every time our eyes met, my heart would race uncontrollably. Talking to her turned my words into a jumbled mess, a source of embarrassment I couldn't escape. Despite this, her attention was not directed at me.
Y/n l/n, two years younger than me. Was a 2-year age gap acceptable? I questioned my feelings, well aware that falling for my personal servant was unconventional. Not only that we're same gender too we're not opposite gender.
Lost in my thoughts while observing her from a distance, I didn't notice her approaching until a small hand tapped my shoulder. It startled me, pulling me from my reverie, and I found her face unusually close to mine. I felt the warmth of her breath as our foreheads unintentionally collided, making my face flush.
"Akito-sama?" she inquired, concern evident in her eyes. She gently pressed our foreheads together, checking my temperature.
I stammered, "W-what?" I couldn't find my voice, questioning my own courage. As the god of the Sohma family, why did I struggle to speak before my personal servant? Yet, seeing her worry comforted me, as it revealed her genuine concern for my well-being.
"I-is something wrong, Akito-sama? You seem so red. Are you sick?" she asked, her worry palpable.
"N-no, I'm not sick. I'm fine," I replied, attempting to reassure her, though my heart continued to race at the proximity of her caring presence.
Y/n withdrew slightly, concern lingering in her eyes. "If you say so, Akito-sama. But if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to let me know."
Her sincerity touched me, and a small smile graced my lips. "Thank you, Y/n."
As the days passed, our interactions became more frequent. Y/n's cheerful presence became a beacon in the darkness that surrounded me. She assisted me with my studies, shared stories that made me laugh, and even helped me navigate the complexities of being the head of the Sohma family.
Despite my initial reservations about the unconventional nature of our connection, I couldn't deny the growing bond between us. Y/n's unwavering support became a source of strength, and her companionship was a balm to the wounds left by my father's departure.
One day, beneath the cherry blossom tree in the Sohma garden, Y/n handed me a carefully crafted origami figure. "I made this while I was at school; my teacher said to give it to someone I care about. Since I don't have any parents or anyone, I just thought of you, Akito-sama. I hope this brings you good luck," she said with a warm smile.
The gesture touched my heart, and in that moment, I realized that Y/n held a special place in my life. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow on us, I silently vowed to cherish this connection, uncertain of where it might lead in the labyrinth of the Sohma family curse.
"I see, Y/n. Will you stay by my side... forever?" I asked, looking into her eyes, hoping for that answer. I gently touched her cheeks, and she rested her head on my palm, looking at me with sincerity.
"Forever. We will never be alone again, Akito-sama," she whispered, closing her eyes. I stepped closer, leaning down a bit, as I softly admired her. I placed a light kiss on her forehead, holding the origami figure she made against my chest with my other hand.
Finally, I thought, I'm not going to be alone. "Thank you, Y/n L/n. I hope we continue like this and see what the future holds for us."
