Chapter 13

Levana pov

I sat in the jet as we flew to our destination. Bruce was in the corner with headphones on. Natasha, Clint, and Tony were in the cockpit. The others stood or sat somewhere in the jet.

No one had found out about the almost kiss with Tony. At least I don't think so and I hope never. I hadn't meant to but he just looked so handsome with a little grease in his hair and on his face. I find it extremely annoying how attractive these heroes are. Like is it a super hero rule to be hot or what!? Even DC super heroes are hot! Ugh!

I was fidgeting with my mask when I sensed someone coming towards me. I looked up seeing Steve.

"I uh knew about your powers and your 'other side' as you call it. Just thought you should know. Also no one will care if it's more comfortable for you to um have your extra features out around the penthouse." Steve said after he sat down next to me.

*Thanks Steve. It might take me awhile to be able to just look like this around the penthouse. I'm not used to people reacting kindly towards my appearance.* I informed him. I didn't want him to think I didn't appreciate the gesture.

"Of course. Take as much time as you need. Just know that you can be yourself around us, no one is going to judge you." He said with that charming smile of his and placing a hand on mine. I could feel my heart speed up and my cheeks flush.

*Thanks it means a lot.* I signed with a big smile.

"Alright guys we're here!" Tony yelled from the cockpit. I put my mask on as everyone starts getting ready.

"Alright here's the plan. Tony, Sam, and Levana. I want you guys on look out in the sky as well as on perimeter watch. If one of you could get Clint on the roof that would be great. Bruce stays on the jet as back up and if anyone needs medical attention. Nat, Bucky, Loki, and I are going inside. The rest of you keep them busy and give them hell." I read the words on my hologram screen from my mask. I nod as he says what my job is.

As everyone runs off in different directions us flyers take off. I sign to Phantom telling him to go with Steve, Nat, Bucky and Loki and he runs after them. Tony gave Clint a ride to the roof. I flap my wings hard twice and shoot up into the sky. As I look up I see the others look up at me I give them a little wave as I circle the building.

It's about 5 minutes before agents start pouring out of the building and alarms start going off. Down below on the ground I see Wanda and Thor working together to blast through the horde of fleeing and fighting agents. Peter is currently holding onto Pietro as he runs around, webbing people up. Tony, Sam, Clint and I are picking people off from above when they get too close to the perimeter or too close to one of the team.

I see someone starting to sneak up on Clint on the roof and freeze their weapon before freezing their feet to the roof.

"Thanks Leva!" I read on my glasses and send him a thumbs up.

"Sam! Levana! A little help here?  I got a missile locked on me." Tony said.

*I got it.* I signed before conjuring a bow and using my electricity to make an arrow. I shoot at the missile electrifying it.

*Look out below!* I sign as it falls to the ground smashing a few agents and exploding.

"Thanks Levana!" Tony said.

*Yep.* I smile. I missed this. I dive down conjuring my sword. I swipe through the agents while gliding close to the ground. I flip and push off the ground soaring back into the sky. Man I loved flying.

"We're all good inside just have to deal with everyone outside." Steve said getting ok's from everyone.

I dived down again while charging my electricity up and punched a tank (that I'm actually not quite sure where it came from but it got totalled).

(Bruce pov)

I watch in the cameras as Levana dives at a tank with her arm outstretched. As soon as her fist touches it, it ripples and explodes sending flames and debris everywhere. With her on the team I'm not to sure we'll need Hulk very much anymore. I see her fly through the debris perfectly without a single scratch. Her hair whipped around wildly as she flew around. She looked so free just then like nothing was going on. It was amazing watching her like that.

I know at the penthouse at the tower she smiles and looks happy but everyone can tell there's a darkness there in her smile and her eyes. I just want her to be free. Like how she looks right now. I wish I could erase all the darkness that plagues her but I know I can't not when I'm still consumed by mine. Maybe till then I can just try my best to make her as happy as she can be.

Levana pov

I swoop down to the ground standing back to back with Thor. Our team ducks to the ground and me and Thor blast electricity while turning in a circle. Most of the Hydra agents are down after that.

"Spread out look for stragglers. Anyone alive will go to prison." Steve says and starts checking the agents to see which ones are still alive.

As I walk around checking the people on the ground I suddenly smell a familiar scent. Then the pounding starts. I drop to the ground holding my head. I can feel my claws digging into my scalp and smell the familiar tangy metallic smell of my own blood as it runs down my hands. I scream even though I know I can't. My vision keeps flashing and so are the pictures in my mind. And then there's nothing.
