Zayla's POV"What about these?" Dyah held up a pair of red and white 3s. "Those are so cute, but what are we going to wear with them," I questioned, I hated buying shoes without having outfits in mind because the shoes would just sit in my closet.
"Girl what do you mean, we're at the mall I'm sure we can find something," we both had a bad habit of spending money. I don't even know how we ended up at the mall, she said she wanted to go get food, not go shopping.
"Okay let me go ask if they have our sizes," I said walking towards the young girl who stood by the register. "Hey could we try those red and white 3s in a six and a five and a half, please," I asked.
"Yeah, give me one second," she responded before walking off. I walked back over to Dyah and continued to look at other shoes.
"Look Dy these would be so cute for Dasia," I held up a pair of black, gray, and white 4s. Dasia was Dyah's 7 year old sister, she loved when we bought her stuff. Dyah's parents felt the opposite though, Dasia's closet was full of clothes and shoes and her parents thought it was becoming overbearing especially since a seven year old isn't the most organized.
"Girl you already know my mama don't want me buying her anything else. She was mad I bought her a jacket the last time," she laughed.
"You can just keep them at your apartment , she be over there a lot anyway," I said in a duh tone. "You're right, dang where the girl go she been back there for too long," Dyah said just as the girl was walking out with the two boxes of shoes in hand.
"Sorry about that, here y'all go," she said handing us the boxes. "Thanks can we also get this shoe in a two if y'all have it, please?" Dyah held up the shoe, showing it to the girl. "Okay I'll be right back," she said walking off to the back.
Once we tried the shoes on and the girl brought out the other shoe, we each paid for our things and continued to walk around the mall shopping. We went into rue 21 looking for graphic tees and jeans.
I didn't see much but I did buy a pair of army fatigue cargo ripped jeans and a white and red basketball sweater, that went perfect with the shoes. Dyah bought damn near the whole store.
We did a little more shopping and decided we were going to go to Rockin Crab since it was the closest seafood spot to Stonecrest.

"Can I have some broccoli?" Dyah asked reaching over taking a piece of broccoli, not giving me a chance to tell her my answer.
"What was the point of asking if you were you going to take it anyway," I laughed. "Because I just wanted you to know I was about to get one."
"You should've just took it like you always do, but anyways finish telling me about Caleb before you forget," Dyah finally let Caleb take her out yesterday and apparently she enjoyed herself.
"Well so after bowling he wanted to go to this little bar, we basically had drinks and talked. I don't know why I curved him all those times he's so sweet and can hold decent conversations," I'm glad she enjoyed herself because our luck with dating has been so bad lately.
"Aww I love that for you, so are you going to see him again," I asked hoping she'd say yes. "Yeah he actually wants to go out tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. Enough about me, what about you and Malik?"
"What about me and Malik?"
"Are y'all not still talking," She asked. "We are still talking, but I don't know if I should trust him. I'm not interested in being taken advantage of and getting my heart broken again. You know how long it took for me to get over Khari," my last relationship was so bad and yet I couldn't leave, but I knew better now, and I just didn't want to take any chances.
