"Jaggerjacks-san, sorry for the bother, but is Rukia-?"
"Rukia?".... Grimm eeriely cocked his head to the side, folding his arms in quite the manacing fashion. A silent threat of iminent danger, washed off of his lean posture, leaving Inoue's eyes no other choice, but to involuntarily map every rigid inch of his bulging biceps.
A rather long, tense filled pause settled around them, but then he suddenly cracked his neck, showcasing his boredom, perhaps, and almost instantly, as if remembering her insect like place beneath this thing, Orihime tore those damable hues away from his parts.
She gave an audible gulp, and although it came mechanically, it grieved her immensely, for she knew her opponent revelled in his prey's misery.
Blue followed her throat's every motion like the skilled predator he were, still is; as if wanting to expose her skimpy courageous veil. Jesus fucking christ, fear fissured its way into Inoue's being and soon enough, she spiraled into self belittling mode, damming her traitorous body for giving away her sudden nervous disposition.
It was a nasty little tell tale habit she'd developed, but out of sheer reflex, Inoue's grip tightened somewhat around her left arm; quite the coward like pose she knew, but her fight or flight instincts began its howling torment as soon as she had decidedly exchanged dialogue with the Espada.
This man, no beast, were as bad as they came. It was quite unfortunate that she'd been the only one aside from Kurosaki, that witnessed the full extent of this animal's rampage; saw the true essence of his so called arrancar's madness. Infact, one time too many, during his and Kurosaki's inevitable battle, Jaggerjacks had purposely aimed his wretched claws at her fear frozen state; his malcious intent purposely and transparently displayed in his eyes.
The very same that now bore sinisterly down at her trembling form.
Aside from wanting to acertain Kuchiki's well being, Orihime was not beyond the facts of what she'd just witnessed. More so now, since Jaggerjack's hositily towards her had suddenly escalated to a whole new level.
She was no fool, despite that customary docile deportment most associated her with. Inoue Orihime was almost sure, especially given the extent of the blunette's cockish grin as he left Kuchiki's room; she was absolutely positive to her core, that some thing unsettling was afoot between the two.
Unsettling not because of what they might have brewing between them. But unsettling simply because of Ichigo's still obsessive behavior towards the one he deemed his life's savior. It was a bitter known fact that while she now holds his love, his heart truly belonged to the ravenette princess from the very beginning.
Dam it.
A terrorizing chill swooped down the length of her spine. Gnashing her teeth, she snapped her self away from these inner musings. After all, she was still in the glowering presence of the very monster she'd hoped to avoid for the rest of her human fucking life.
"Are you in there, Inoue?" Grimm towered the auburn beauty. Aggravating lines of perplexed thoughts ran rampant as he eyed the little twat. He figured to a certain degree, her beauty was somewhat appealing.
Of-coarse he saw the hows and whys, Kurosaki was drawn to such a being. But on the other hand, the orange headed buffon always had a knack for rescuing the weak and feeble. No wonder he fell for one so poor spirited as her. Then again, given her voluptuous assets, one's personality stood no contest with a man's most primal need....
Could Kurosaki really be that shallow?
"Woman, your business with Rukia, what about it?"
"Ah", Orihime anxiously scratched the back of her head, managing to produce a small but fake smile to aid her cause. "O-oh never mind that, she's probably busy getting ready for the meeting the more I think about it. I suppose we could catch up another time"
