Ding dong!..........

Never before had the tone of Ichigo's doorbell sounded so eerie. Never before had she the cause to touch that little black button that centered the family's main entrace way. Such an act was entirely reserved for guests only, and Rukia, well she had already been inaugurated as a trusted and beloved member of the Kurosaki's household. Ringing door bells and making appointments in order to spend time with her second family was something else and something not a part of her usual routine.

Unforunately after last night's episode of torn love and one night stands, awkward had decided to take up housing in and around her. It's a complete miracle how the thought of bedding 'the wild cat' him self hadn't conjure such an emotion, even though friendship was never present between them. Just a passing glance spared, or a few loatsome, perhaps underhanded insults towards shinigamies were given. But never words of comfort or security;  atleast not to last night's extent.

Rukia wanted to arm herself, she kinda felt the need to layer up these bubbling insecurities and emotions that came with, before facing her former love interest. As a matter of fact she counted each foot steps as they neared her now nervous state until the doors were drawn, and out came the face of the last fucking person she'd hoped for an encounter with.

"Kuchiki-san!"  Yes, bright, bubbling and oh so irritatingly annoying, Orihime Inoue's cheery demeanor and presence above all caused a major collaps in her defenses, and not in a good way. Rukia froze, not from the shock of seeing the woman but from the realization that it hadn't taken Ichigo much time to fully unincorporate his girlfriend? into this new equation. Yet still, she was a kuchiki dam it; not by blood but by way of law and as such, Kuchikis never allowed them selves to falter in the eyes of their enemies? Was that it? Had Little Hime became her enemy or rival what ever the fuck Grimmjow tittled their new dilemma?....

Banishing the thought least she became bitter in the eyes of her family, the petite brunette greeted her new host with a bright expression before inviting herself in. After all, this was her home as well wasn't it? "It's good to see you Inoue. Where's every one?".... But that question hadn't fully left her lips before twin sets of foot steps came rushing towards her. In one full blow, Rukia fell from the added weights of both Karin and Yuzu.

" Ruki-nii where have you been, dad's been going out of his mind after Urahara San called last night!" And as expected, it was the kindest of the twins which voiced her earnest concerns out first.

"Forget dad, why didn't you at least call us?" Karin, the more level minded sibling out of the three, spoke next. With her being fully occupied by both girls piling lists of inquiries, Rukia completely missed the slight twinge of disappointment furrowing Inoue's brows. But unfortunately the woman was good for it, her displeasure had vanished just as quickly as it had appeared.

"It's alright girls, I just spent the night with an acquaintance of mine in nishihara, where's dad?" She promptly changed topic, however, the girls weren't as slow on the uptake as she'd hoped they'd be, Karin especially whom out of the born pair felt more drawn to her than her auburn haired sister.

"A kid fell and scrapped his knees, his mom's throwing a dam tantrum cause she could see the whites of his flesh!"

"Karin that's not very nice and no swearing when you're home. You know the rules" not to be rude but they were completely caught up in their own little bubble at the moment that is, until Orihime decided to make her presence known once more.

"That's so good to hear Kuchiki-san, Kurosaki-kun was so worried when Urahara called"

Did she cringe, yes she did. Rukia smiled but deep down in that place inside of her, she cringed like a motherfucker sucking on limes. "I'm a big girl Inoue-san, Ichigo knows this most of all! "
