The two trails continued for some time. In places it was narrow and boggy and others open and airy. A few minutes later I was about to round a narrow bend when, "Slluuuuurkk!" I stopped dead in my tracks.
"Oh no," I thought, "they've heard me!" I quickly ducked into the bush, hoping with all my life that it hadn't heard me, but it hadn't, and it didn't... I tiptoed silently forwards trying my absolute hardest to be invisible. I heard a noise and quickly hid, but it was only a squirrel. I peeped out for a second, my heart leapt to my mouth and I fainted. The reason I fainted? Well I saw the snails and my parents, but not really, I mean does it really count if most of them are... eaten?
